A mad rush to win IOPC silver badges had the digital felts buzzing with activity yesterday, paving the way for a blockbuster weekend.

With massive prizes being won all around, India’s poker pioneer, Aditya Agarwal, grabbed the spotlight last night with a terrific run in the day’s biggest guaranteed tournament. The IOPC July 2021 The Crown runner-up finisher shipped Spartan Poker`s IOPC #69 Friday Prime for ₹13.04 Lakhs, picking up his first IOPC silver badge (his second IOPC title)! The #2 ranked player of the year, Tarush Gupta, pocketed ₹8.22 Lakhs in second place.

Avinash Kumar scored a thumping victory in Spartan Poker’s IOPC #70 Friday Spotlight – Triple Chance, winning the multi-entry marquee for ₹3.36 Lakhs (his best IOPC score) (won ₹3.52 Lakhs overall).

Wednesday’s (7-Max) SPRINT champion, Manish Lakhotia, scored his second top finish in three days by taking down Spartan Poker’s IOPC #66 Monster Stack for ₹1.62 Lakhs (his sixth IOPC title) – and accumulated ₹2.53 Lakhs across five deep runs. Ashwin Vijay finished runner-up for ₹1.03 Lakhs.

Suman Lahoti conquered Spartan Poker’s IOPC #71 All Rounder (6-Max) for ₹2.22 Lakhs, bagging away his first IOPC title, becoming the seventh entrant on the IOPC #137 All Rounder SNG. Hemant Meena pocketed a site-best ₹1.40 Lakhs (over 4X of his previous site-best score) in second place (won ₹1.58 Lakhs across three IOPC events).

The #2 finisher in the 2022 POY race, Ashish Ahuja, clinched his third title this week by shipping Spartan Poker’s IOPC #68 for ₹1.33 Lakhs (his sixth IOPC title)!

Sawan Kumar (Won IOPC #65 for ₹81,364) and Moji Padu (Won IOPC #67 for ₹77,448) won the other IOPC titles on Friday.

Adda52 reg ‘blackjaws’ jumped over an extended eight-month dry spell last night by taking down The Ballers for a site-best ₹5.33 Lakhs. The mystery user struck a heads-up deal with Sahil Mahboobani (2nd for ₹5.20 Lakhs) (won ₹5.29 Lakhs overall).

With five final table scores on his 2023 tally, Pavankiran Bellamkonda finally made the finish line in PokerBaazi’s The Weekly HighRoller to win ₹4.78 Lakhs. He chopped the Friday title heads-up with last night’s (7-Max) SPRINT runner-up finisher Sashank Chakravarty (2nd for ₹4.71 Lakhs) (won ₹6.48 Lakhs overall).

Exactly six weeks after winning PokerStars India’s The Big Bash [8-Max, PKO), Praveen KR nailed the 8 PM Friday headliner again last night for ₹1.81 Lakhs (₹84,612 in bounties), bagging his maiden title of the year (won ₹2.06 Lakhs overall). Siddharth Gangwar posted a runner-up finish worth ₹1.41 Lakhs (₹44,617 in bounties).
