It was a trailblazing Thursday on the virtual felts last night and the name that stood out among the plethora of poker pros in action was none other than India’s first World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner – Aditya Sushant. Truly the poster boy of Indian poker, Sushant has almost become a permanent fixture in our Daily Majors and Sunday Online Railbird Report.

Persisting with his thundering form, Sushant posted three final table finishes which includes two titles and one runner-up finish. His biggest score of the night came in Adda52’s Godfather XI ₹20 Lakhs GTD where he triumphed over a 436-strong entry field, banking an impressive ₹4.51 Lakhs payday for his win. He followed it up by battling for the title in PokerBaazi’s The Summit ₹15 Lakhs GTD but lost it to fellow WSOP bracelet winner Abhinav Iyer. While the Young Gun Iyer walked away with ₹4.68 Lakhs in first-place prize money, Sushant bagged ₹3.28 Lakhs for his runner-up finish. Sushant ended his blistering run last night by taking down PokerStars India’s Highroller ₹12 Lakhs GTD and adding ₹2.68 Lakhs to his ever-increasing bankroll. Sushant’s cumulative earnings for November 21 stood tall at ₹10.48 Lakhs.

Along with the stellar deep runs last night, the poker phenom also managed to bag a stack of 1,18,678 chips in Day 1A of Spartan Poker’s The Millionaire X5 Edition ₹10 Lakhs To Top 5 Players and has successfully advanced to Day 2.

Spartan Poker’s Millionaire extravaganza for the month November has continued and the final tournament on the schedule – The Millionaire X5 Edition ₹10 Lakhs To Top 5 Players – hosted its Day 1A on November 21. Registering 533 entries (290 unique, 101 re-entries and 142 rebuys), The Millionaire X5 eclipsed its predecessor by 97 entries. Harshad ‘omglukbox‘ Barve accumulated the biggest stack of 3.39 Million and will lead the 63 survivors to Day 2 which will play out on November 24 at 9 PM.

The other big guarantee event on Spartan Poker yesterday was Head-Hunter ₹15 Lakhs GTD which drew in 276 entries (139 unique, 45 re-entries and 92 rebuys) and crowned a champion in cash game specialist Naresh FreeFlow Veeravalli who netted ₹2.78 Lakhs in top prize.

‘Samy3636’ (SVS #10 Hi-Fi PLO Special ₹4.5 Lakhs GTD for ₹99,675) and 44 is nuts (Afternoon Hi-Fi ₹2.5 Lakhs GTD for ₹71,250) took down the other tournaments on Spartan Poker last night.

While Sushant shipped the mainstay events on Adda52 and PokerStars India, ‘xoredvoid’ (Hexagram ₹2.50 Lakhs GTD for ₹71,250) and Godof.com7 (The Classic ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹49,091) emerged victorious in the other high-value events hosted on Adda52 and PokerStars India, respectively.

MTT specialist Pranay ‘setmeup’ Chawla topped the Thursday MonsterStack ₹5 Lakhs GTD on PokerBaazi and collected a winner’s paycheque of ₹1.31 Lakhs.

Over at 9stacks, the Thunder @8PM ₹5 Lakhs GTD saw Sreekanth n0thing Narayan overcome 106 entries (89 unique and 17 re-entries), which included besting Ayush lazyman’ Garg (runner-up for ₹95,000) in the heads-up battle, and pocketed ₹1.35 Lakhs up top. Incidentally, Narayan had finished runner-up in PokerStars India’s Highroller ₹12 Lakhs GTD for ₹1.97 Lakhs.

Finally, Poker Dangal’s Warrior Arena ₹1.5 Lakhs GTD was won by Rahul ‘Mrrahul777’ Kr for a ₹36,000 payday.

 

The Millionaire X5 Edition 10 Lakhs To Top 5 Players Day 1A – Spartan Poker

The Millionaire X5 edition kicked off yesterday with 533 hopefuls (290 unique, 101 re-entries and 142 rebuys) hitting the felts in Day 1A surpassing its previous record of 436 Day 1A entries which had been registered on October 4. The multi-stage tournament offers ₹10 Lakhs to the top 5 players for a buy-in of ₹5,500. At the end of the day, only 63 managed to book a seat for Day 2 and leading the survivors was Harshad ‘omglukbox‘ Barve (3,39,736). ‘pokerkara123’ (2,60,223) and ‘Tonkaaa’ (2,36,009) rounded out the top three stacks.

Well- known circuit reg Sreekanth ‘n0thing’ Narayan catapulted himself into the top spot and beat his heads-up rival Ayush ‘lazyman’ Garg to win the title and ₹1.35 Lakhs in prize money. A runner-up finish added ₹95,000 to Garg’s bankroll. The event had a shortfall of ₹76,000 in meeting its guarantee. Narayan had finished runner-up in PokerStars India’s Highroller ₹12 Lakhs GTD, but more than made up for it up taking down the Thunder on 9stacks.

‘Samy3636’ added ₹99,675 to his career earnings after using a second bullet to ship the event. Neeraj ‘SelfClaimedPros’ Kumar walked away with ₹67,275 for his second-place finish.
