Grabbing the headlines was Ankur ‘Crimemastergogo’ Sehgal, who championed Spartan Poker’s The Elite for the second time last night for ₹7.68 Lakhs, making him the day`s top scorer. The two-time Millionaire champion Yudhishter Jaswal secured a runner-up payday worth ₹5.17 lakhs.

Spartan Poker’s weekend fiesta, the ₹1 Crore GTD Millionaire, completed its second starting flight on Friday. Day 1B of the ₹5,500 entry buy-in event gathered 366 participants, and only 54 survived the day`s onslaught. The last of the April The Millionaire editions has registered 710 entries (Day 1A – 344 and Day 1B – 366) so far, with three more flights to go before Day 2 on Sunday.

‘haristo’ (262,166), who had bagged the third-biggest stack on Day 1A, booked a second Day 2 seat, only this time as the Day 1B chip leader. PokerGuru Ambassador Kartik ‘TheInternetKid’ Ved (253,740) and ‘Flahoolick’ (183,278) made the top three names on the Day 1B survivor`s list.

The site`s featured Friday night tourney, The Elite, offered an even better ₹33 Lakhs prize pool guarantee than last week. The guarantee was easily crushed as 363 contestants helped collect a whopping ₹36.3 Lakhs prize pool. The 9:30 PM tourney went on for almost nine hours before Ankur ‘Crimemastergogo’ Sehgal championed the event for the second time, netting the day`s top score worth ₹7.68 Lakhs. The IOPC Mega Stack champion Vinayak ‘haayegarmi’ Bajaj was the last player standing and banked ₹1.79 Lakhs after striking a three-way deal with Manan ‘Devildareman’ Pancholi (runner-up for ₹1.26 Lakhs) and Anupam ‘phoenix07’ Mishra (3rd for ₹1.19 Lakhs).
