Ajay ‘gabbarsingh’ Dhayal was the biggest winner of the day as he championed the ₹40 Lakhs GTD IOPC#96 Ultron to collect his third career IOPC title and a personal-best ₹7.66 Lakhs.
Young Gun Kanchan ‘thandicoke’ Sharma was another player making the Thursday headlines after taking down Adda52’s ₹25 Lakhs GTD Godfather for ₹5.05 Lakhs.
Announcing his entry in the prestigious “6 Crore-Club” was Rubin ‘kornkid’ Labroo, who shipped PokerBaazi’s ₹15 Lakhs GTD The Summit for a record third time, collecting ₹4.45 Lakhs.

Spartan Poker
The 10th edition of the IOPC is on the home stretch now with the ₹3.5 Crores GTD IOPC – The Crown only three days away from naming a champion. Day 1D on Thursday logged in 407 entries, and 77 hopefuls made it through to Day 2. Leading the lot was the former WPT Vietnam Main Event champion Dhaval ‘ElegantlyWasted’ Mudgal (219,455), with PokerGuru Ambassador Gokul ‘Super Kings’ Raj (184,285) and ‘Isildurr24’ (181,806) rounding out the top three stacks of the day. There are four more starting flights left to play out.
The third of the five featured IOPC events to be live-streamed played down to the final table on Thursday. We’re referring to the ₹1.25 Crore GTD IOPC #97 Super High Roller – the biggest buy-in tourney at the series with an entry fee of ₹1.05 Lakhs! Despite the steep buy-in, the tourney logged in a guarantee-smashing 153 entries to collect ₹1.53 Crores in the prize pool. With the top 17 players promised a min-cash worth ₹2.4 Lakhs, it was an intense race to make it to the FT that has a mouth-watering ₹38.49 Lakhs up-top.
Grabbing the overnight chip lead was Vaibhav ‘Nikka Zaildar’ Sharma (2,552,324). A well-known name on the domestic circuit, Sharma boasts over ₹4.27 Crores in recorded lifetime winnings. The FT is a stacked one as trailing Sharma is the #2 ranked player of 2020, Arsh ‘BigggTymeR’ Grover (1,822,680), with the IOPC#52 High Roller champion Sriharsha ‘Potato Player’ Doddapaneni (1,344,623) third in chips.
Like the Millionaire Legends, here again, there are two PokerGuru Ambassadors in the running. This includes Ashish ‘Donkey 07’ Munot (884,176), who finished runner-up in the live-streamed IOPC #73 Millionaire Legends for ₹22.15 Lakhs. Another Millionaire Legends finalist Nagendra ‘SorosDruckTudor’ Vadlamani (660,103) and PokerGuru Ambassador Naresh ‘FreeFlow’ Veeravalli (405,094) complete the FT lineup. While the vast majority of the poker community was busy railing the top talents slogging it out in the IOPC Super Highroller, it was the ₹40 Lakhs GTD IOPC#96 Ultron that awarded the biggest prize money of the day. Running from 8 PM to 4:25 AM, the ₹4,400 entry buy-in tourney wrangled in 247 entries, recording an overlay worth ₹3.16 Lakhs. Ajay ‘gabbarsingh’ Dhayal navigated his way to the top to win a career-best ₹7.66 Lakhs and his third IOPC title. The mystery user ‘bluebeds’ finished runner-up for ₹4.76 Lakhs.
The ₹16.50 Lakhs GTD IOPC #98 registered 445 entries, overlaying ₹3.15 Lakhs. Anand Babu ‘OrangeZuce’ Pallikona topped them all to grab his first IOPC title and a ₹3.30 Lakhs paycheque. Abhijeet ‘ikilldonks’ Kumar finished runner-up for ₹2.19 Lakhs.
Pallikona has added a host of impressive scores to his poker resume in the past year. This includes flagship titles like the Sunday Superstack on November 29 for ₹6.89 Lakhs and the Mega Stack on December 1 for ₹3.88 Lakhs. At the ongoing IOPC series, Pallikona had two FT finishes to his name before winning IOPC #98. The Thursday night score boosted his lifetime scorecard to ₹1.2 Crores.
Another Destiny – IOPC Edition crowned a champion yesterday. Listed as IOPC #99, the ₹10 Lakhs GTD even got underway at 11 PM and logged in 466 entries, overlaying ₹68,000. ‘Immortal Killer’ (anonymity requested) was the last player standing and won ₹1.78 Lakhs following a heads-up deal with Anant ‘Prometheius’ Purohit (runner-up for ₹1.55 Lakhs).
The winner ‘Immortal Killer’ had topped the IOPC February 2020 edition Tournament Leaderboard to win a brand-new MG Hector car. They were also among the top five players who entered the “Millionaire`s Club” in SSS The Millionaire X5 – 1 Million to Top 5 in April last year. After last night`s win, the player has crossed ₹1.34 Crores in tracked online winnings.
The ₹5.75 Lakhs GTD IOPC #94 recorded 501 entries. Himanshu ‘shambolic794’ Arora outlasted them all to win ₹96,560 and his first IOPC title following a three-way deal with Nishkarsh ‘DesiKanye’ Madavi (runner-up for ₹76,542) and Shivam ‘G.O.A.T.’ Shukla (3rd for ₹73,895).
The afternoon tourney, the ₹5 Lakhs GTD IOPC#95 Deepstack, saw Arun ‘kyachahiye’ Shankar come out on top for ₹70,763. A six-way deal saw Abhijeet ‘knot_snudtke’ Kumar (runner-up for ₹51,392), Suraj ‘soorajtodi’ Todi (3rd for ₹50,123), Peter ‘Sigmund’ Nazareth (4th for ₹49,628),‘VantagePoint’ (5th for ₹48,601) and ‘Hakuna matata’ (6th for ₹41,420) banking the other top payouts.
The ₹3.50 Lakhs GTD IOPC #93 was championed by Animesh ‘animeshth’ Thakur, who raced past the 628-entry field to win ₹49,994 after a heads-up chop with Amol ‘furiosa12’ Shetty (runner-up for ₹48,222).

The Thursday flagship tourney at PokerStars India, the ₹10 Lakhs GTD Highroller, registered 139 entrants, filling in ₹27,000 in overlays. The mystery player ‘iamankityadav’ raced past the competition to win ₹1.94 Lakhs following a heads-up deal with ‘CURR¥300’ (runner-up for ₹1.71 Lakhs).
The ₹70K GTD Bigstack Turbo experienced a marginal overlay after 88 challengers signed up to play. Topping them all, ‘chauhan9186’ collected a cash prize worth ₹16,023 after eliminating ‘singhissingh’ (runner-up for ₹12,096) in second place.

The “Suit Up January” special on Adda52, the ₹25 Lakhs GTD Godfather, registered 471 participants, overlaying ₹1.45 Lakhs. After a marathon 10 hour-run, Young Gun Kanchan ‘thandicoke’ Sharma struck a heads-up deal with former Millionaire Lite champion Sreekanth ‘n0thing’ Narayan (runner-up for ₹4.69 Lakhs) before taking down the title and the ₹5.05 Lakhs cash prize that came with it. With the score, Sharma crossed ₹2.05 Crores in recorded online earnings.
The ₹5 Lakhs GTD Monster Turbo experienced an overlay of ₹77,000 on the back of 188 entries. Ayush ‘lazyman’ Garg defeated Prabhat ‘nagarbhavininja’ Kiran Mukherjea heads-up to the title and won ₹1.38 Lakhs. Mukherjea collected ₹84,000 for his runner-up finish.

PokerBaazi’s Thursday primetime tourney, the ₹15 Lakhs GTD The Summit, recorded 252 entries, posting a guarantee-crushing ₹18.90 Lakhs prize pool. It took 7 hours and 25 minutes of play for the former PPL Main Event champion Rubin ‘kornkid’ Labroo to navigate his way to the top to win The Summit – his third time winning this tourney – for ₹4.45 Lakhs. The runner-up finisher, ‘karan23’ settled for a payday worth ₹3.12 Lakhs.
Labroo has been a consistent performer in January, having won five titles so far in the month, including Spartan Poker’s IOPC #38 and the APT#15 Megastack. After this win, his monthly scores have touched ₹33.62 Lakhs, and he enters the exclusive “₹6 Crore-Club” in online earnings.

The headline tourney on Adda52, part of the site`s “Suit Up January” lineup, the 8 PM tourney Godfather ran with a juicy ₹25 Lakhs prize pool guarantee last night. With a starting field of 471 contenders, it ended up overlaying ₹1.45 Lakhs.
It took a little under ten hours of play for our first and to date only female Young Gun, Kanchan ‘thandicoke’ Sharma, to champion the tourney for ₹5.05 Lakhs. Sharma struck a heads-up deal with the former Millionaire Lite champion Sreekanth ‘n0thing’ Narayan (runner-up for ₹4.69 Lakhs).
The win helped Sharma cross ₹2 Crores in recorded earnings. Her total online earnings stand tall at ₹2.05 Crores.

The former Millionaire champion Ayush ‘lazyman’ Garg came out on top in Adda52’s ₹5 Lakhs GTD Monster Turbo last night, outlasting 188 entries to win ₹1.38 Lakhs. Prabhat ‘nagarbhavininja’ Kiran Mukherjea placed runner-up for ₹84,000.
This happens to be Garg`s first title victory of 2021. His last recorded winning spree was recorded on January 19, when he had run deep in two marquee events, namely Adda52’s ₹8 Lakhs GTD Iron Man and PokerBaazi’s APT#19 Monsterstack, worth a cumulative ₹1.89 Lakhs in total earnings. He currently sits on ₹3.57 Crores in recorded winnings.
Ram ‘mowgumotu’ Kakkar (5th for ₹31,250), Haider ‘donktown22’ Madraswala (6th for ₹22,500), and Lavesh ‘lavesh7’ Meena (8th for ₹13,750) also FT-ed the tourney.
