Following a rather slow Monday, the action picked up pace yesterday with Spartan Poker’s Mega Stack ₹20 Lakhs GTD headlining the list of big guaranteed tournaments. Registering 743 entries (346 unique, 179 re-entries, and 218 re-buys), the tournament blew past its advertised guarantee to collect a ₹22.29 Lakhs prize pool. Racing ahead of the rest was Akash ‘Akash0510’ Gupta. Gupta is a consistent winner and had in April, claimed the Sunday SuperStack ₹25 Lakhs GTD title for ₹7.15 Lakhs. This time Gupta clashed with another Spartan Poker regular Anmol ‘bemyfriend’ Srivats (runner-up for ₹2.72 Lakhs) heads-up and defeated the latter to return ₹2.74 Lakhs richer.

Spartan Poker’s Ultimate PLO ₹2 Lakhs GTD pulled together an 86-entry field (44 unique, 15 re-entries, and 27 re-buys), which led to an overlay of about ₹28,000. Rishi ‘BollywoodNight’ Gupta was the last player standing in the event and banked ₹60,000 for his win.

Running alongside Spartan Poker’s Mega Stack was PokerBaazi’s Tuesday flagship, The Endeavour ₹15 Lakhs GTD. The Tuesday flagship comfortably rode past its offered guarantee collecting ₹16.38 Lakhs via 468 entries (230 unique and 238 re-entries). ‘gandukepille’ locked horns with MTT specialist Chirag ‘miyagi’ Sodha (runner-up for ₹2.30 Lakhs) in the final showdown to win the ₹3.29 lakhs top prize. Sodha who has been on a winning spree had two other deep runs on Tuesday, in PokerStars India’s Sixth Sense ₹7.5 Lakhs GTD (31st for ₹5,060) and Deepstacks ₹2 Lakhs GTD (20th for ₹2,800) respectively.

The other PokerBaazi major, the Tuesday MonsterStack ₹3 Lakhs GTD, found a winner in another online crusher Deepak ‘3streakbluff’ Singh who collected ₹96,600 for his win.

Shashank ‘Goldfish03’ Shekhar championed a field of 223 runners (130 unique and 93 re-entries) in Adda52’s Hitman ₹7.5 Lakhs GTD. The Tuesday marquee on Adda52 was among the few tourneys last night that registered an overlay. The Hitman suffered a shortfall of about ₹36,400. The other Adda52 major, RPS Big Game 2 ₹2 Lakhs GTD, was taken down by ‘meat123’ for ₹60,495.

PokerStars India’s Sixth Sense saw its guarantee reduced from ₹8 Lakhs to ₹7.5 Lakhs. The reduction in guarantee helped the site escape filling in an overlay since with 309 entries (154 unique, 144 re-entries) ponying up the ₹2,750 (including fees) buy-in, the final prize pool touched ₹7.72 Lakhs. Tournament regular ‘GutshotHaiBro’ trounced the field and bagged a winner’s paycheque of ₹1.38 Lakhs. As for the other winners, ‘Wanabepro299’ took down the Deepstacks ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹42,713.

Over at 9stacks, Akshay ‘Once’ Pathak juggernaut to the top of a 170-strong entry field (125 unique and 45 re-entries) and walked away with ₹66,300.

Rounding up this report is the Battlefield Tuesday ₹1.5 Lakhs GTD on Poker Dangal that was won by ‘Kingofnoob’ for ₹33,007.
