Wednesday witnessed the same high-octane action we have been reporting since the IOPC July Edition started on July 11. If anything, the action is getting only more intense as we approach the business end of the series.

The 11th edition of the IOPC hit the mid-way mark yesterday, and the ₹50 Lakhs GTD IOPC#66 Wednesday Prime was the headline event running. The IOPC #46 – Sunday Prime runner-up finisher Mohit Bhati walked away with the top honors in the event and collected his first IOPC title and a career-best ₹8.23 Lakhs. He chopped the title three-way with Akshat Sharma (2nd for ₹6.68 Lakhs) and ‘Misanthrope’ (3rd for ₹6.30 Lakhs).

Most of the other flagship tournaments were won by top regs, with Aditya Singh shipping Adda52’s Maverick for ₹3.82 Lakhs. PokerGuru Ambassador Mithun Mahesh took down PokerBaazi’s The Pride for ₹2.85 Lakhs.

The former IOPC – The Millionaire United champion, Young Gun Siddhanth Kripalani, came out on top in the IOPC #67 Wednesday Spotlight to collect his second IOPC title and a ₹2.75 Lakhs payday.

Anant Purohit shipped the ₹10 Lakhs GTD IOPC #68 All Rounder (Half Price Rebuy) for ₹1.89 Lakhs. (HU deal).

Young Gun Anuj Yadav, Armaan Kochhar, Tanay Parekh, Aditya Kesharwani, Kunal Patni, Sandeep Varma, and Karan Malhotra took down the other marquee titles.

Spartan Poker

The ₹30 Crores GTD IOPC July Edition reached the mid-way stage on Wednesday, with six players winning IOPC titles on Day 11 of the series.

Mohit ‘jacktheripper’ Bhati was the day`s biggest winner. Improving upon his runner-up finish in IOPC #46 – Sunday Prime from three days ago, Bhati ran past a 1,080-entry strong field in the ₹50 Lakhs GTD IOPC#66 Wednesday Prime, bagging his first IOPC title and a career-best ₹8.23 Lakhs. He now has ₹19.81 Lakhs in recorded winnings on Spartan Poker (under this moniker) with ₹9.60 Lakhs in profits. A three-way deal saw Akshat ‘doubledown’ Sharma (2nd for ₹6.68 Lakhs) and ‘Misanthrope’ (3rd for ₹6.30 Lakhs) banking the other top payouts.

The top 95 places got paid from the guarantee-crushing ₹54 Lakhs prize pool.

The ₹35 Lakhs GTD IOPC Wanderer logged in 578 entries on Day 1C, and only 66 players survived through to Day 2. Rajesh ‘ChivasRegal’ Shukla (225,767), the user ‘nslookup’ (209,162), and the IOPC #68 – All Rounder winner Anant ‘Prometheius’ Purohit (208,911) topped the surviving field. Counting the 1,315 participants (Day 1A – 665, Day 1B – 650) from the two previous flights, the event has filled in 1,893 entries already. Five more starting flights are scheduled to run before Day 2 on Sunday (10 PM).

Young Gun Siddhanth ‘PluRibu$’ Kripalani overcame the 857-entry field in IOPC #67 Wednesday Spotlight to collect his second career IOPC title and ₹2.75 Lakhs in prize money. Tuesday`s The Mint champion Himanshu ‘shambolic794’ Arora placed second for ₹1.71 Lakhs.

Young Gun Anuj ‘tittooTauji’ Yadav became the second player after Abhishek Goindi to win three IOPC titles at the ongoing series. The IOPC#56 All Rounder and IOPC #34 Friday Prime champion, Anuj Yadav, ran past a guarantee-crushing field in the ₹6.85 Lakhs GTD IOPC#64 to win ₹1.34 Lakhs.
