All signs point toward a blockbuster weekend ahead, and the Friday MTTs packed quite the punch!

Gautam Bansal championed Spartan Poker`s SCS #62 – High – Friday Celebration for ₹7.40 Lakhs, emerging as the day`s biggest winner. Poker coach Akshay Nasa finished runner-up for ₹4.98 Lakhs.

The #3 ranked player of the year, PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish Ahuja, won Adda52’s The Ballers title for the second title last night for ₹4.31 Lakhs after striking a three-way deal with Kunal Patni (2nd for ₹3.91 Lakhs), and Aayush Arya (3rd for ₹3.71 Lakhs).

Dishani Vijay took down PokerBaazi’s The Weekly HighRoller title for the second time, banking a career-best ₹4.55 Lakhs. The #BB6 MoneyMaker runner-up finisher and our “PokerGuru Star of the Week” Saransh Garg collected ₹3.19 Lakhs in second place.

Deepkant Agarwal was the last player standing in PokerStars India’s Uppercut Mini and won the title for ₹41,927, with the PSL Season 4 Women Player of the Series, Ishita Arora lapping up ₹23,499 in second place.

Akhilesh Chauhan, Karan Anand, Vaibhav Arora, Sanchit Nag, Janish Jain, Laxmi Narayan Meena, Rudramani Pokhrel, Abhishek Mandal, and Mohit Kumar Singh won the other Friday marquees.

With the inaugural SCS just two days away from the finish line, PokerGuru Ambassador Vivek ‘KasolHieghts’ Singh (2,947 points) is almost guaranteed to walk away as the SCS High Leaderboard topper. Dhirendra ‘BustedFish’ Kumar (1,872 points) and Abhimanyu ‘Asraat Manfi’ Mittal (1,725 points) are distant #2 and #3 in the standings.

Qualifier 5 of the IMPS #49 Mini Main Event took off at 8.45 PM last night, clocking 317 entries. By the end of the play, only 34 could make it to Day 2.

Puneet ‘puneetdurr111’ Sachan (386,000) topped the survivors, with PokerGuru Ambassador Laksh Pal ‘boomtlt23’ Singh (305,000) and Vikram Ved ‘vikrambatra’ Batra (265,000) rounding out the top three stacks advancing through the flight.

The event had logged in 1,219 entries across the first three starting flights until Thursday. With 223 entries via Qualifier 4 and 317 entries through Qualifier 5 getting added on Friday, the field size has expanded to 1,759 entries.

The ₹1,650 buy-in event needs another 1,575 entries to break even.

Qualifier 6 is scheduled to start at 8.45 PM tonight, with all qualifying stacks to converge for the Day 2 finals at 7.30 PM on Sunday.
