The action picked up at Spartan Poker on Wednesday, where the SSS #17 Destiny ₹35 Lakhs GTD played out as part of the site’s ongoing Spartan Super Series (SSS). A total of 668 players (287 unique, 161 re-entries, and 220 rebuys) came in to play, but still, there was a shortfall of ₹1.60 Lakhs. It took a little over eight hours for Amarjeet ‘superchor89’ Singh to come out on top. Singh defeated Sasi ‘sasikiranx’ Kiran heads-up to win ₹7.54 Lakhs. With the win, he has also secured his berth for the Destiny 12.0 SnG Finale that is to take place on January 12, 2020, and will reward the top three winners free packages to Las Vegas.
Like the Destiny, the Wednesday flagship on PokerBaazi – G.O.A ₹20 Lakhs GTD had a bit of a tough time filling in the guarantee. The site had to cough up a ₹1.05 Lakhs shortfall, and it all came down to Rahul ‘YOUAGAIN’ Pruthi, who ran past Rachit ‘rachubaba’ Arora (runner-up for ₹2.67 Lakhs) heads-up to walk away with the ₹3.70 lakhs top prize.
The PokerGuru team of ambassadors have been consistent winners across platforms. Adding to the team’s tally of wins last night was veteran player, Kartik ‘TheInternetKid’ Ved. Outlasting a 278-strong entry (138 unique and 140 re-entries) field in PokerStars India’s Night on Stars NLHM ₹5 Lakhs GTD, Ved clinched the top honors, along with a ₹1.05 Lakhs payday. The seasoned pro has had a slew of deep runs online, and his most recent achievements include shipping PokerBaazi’s PMVS #19 ₹12 Lakhs GTD on December 8. His stellar run on December 1 saw him finish runner-up in both PokerStars India’s Sunday Special (L) ₹10 Lakhs GTD and Adda52’s Big Slick ₹15 Lakhs GTD respectively.
