It was a slow Monday on the online felts with Spartan Poker’s ReCharge, Adda52’s Inception, PokerBaazi’s The Bout, and PokerStars India’s Battle Royale leading the charge. Here`s the complete recap!

Spartan Poker

The Monday headliner on Spartan Poker was the ReCharge featuring a ₹12 Lakhs GTD. With a ₹2,200 buy-in, the event drew in 580 contenders. However, it wasn’t enough to meet the advertised guarantee, leading to a ₹40,000 deficit. 2019 DPT Xpress Main Event champion Anant ‘Pro’ Purohit has proved time and again that he is a force to be reckoned with on the virtual felts. Ranked #10 on the yearly leaderboard, he added ₹2.32 Lakhs to his ever-expanding bankroll after shipping the ReCharge last night crossing the benchmark ₹5 Crore-mark in online winnings. This happens to be the third time this year that Purohit has won the ReCharge. Sanish ‘Sanish21’ Chhabra came in second for ₹1.47 Lakhs.

In 2019, Purohit had shipped the IOPC Head-Hunter for ₹3.69 Lakhs and the IOPC Super High Roller for ₹29.12 Lakhs, both on the same day. With the India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) July edition just two days away, Purohit has already won an IOPC Mega Satellite – High Roller Events package worth ₹2.26 Lakhs. He will definitely be one of the pros to watch out for at the upcoming mega-series!

The other marquee tourney to take place on Spartan Poker, the ₹6 Lakhs GTD The Flash, dragged in 672 entries, collecting ₹6.72 Lakhs in the prize pool. Anonymous site regular ‘Gangnamstyle’ won the event for ₹1.30 Lakhs, after defeating ‘gogobhai’(runner-up for ₹81,984) heads-up.

Adda52

With the Adda52 Online Poker Series (AOPS) on hold for the time being due to technical issues, Adda52 has been running its weekly scheduled tournaments. The Monday staple event, the ₹10 Lakhs GTD Inception, had a successful run, posting a ₹11.20 Lakhs prize pool on the back of 350 entries. Well-known online reg Wilson ‘kaling’ Yomso proved to be the last player standing in the tourney and took home ₹2.05 Lakhs in the top prize, his best finish on the site this year. ‘GiggsyBet’ finished runner-up for ₹1.84 Lakhs.

PokerBaazi

Saksham ‘AshokHanda’ Makhija ran past a field of 426 participants in PokerBaazi’s ₹10 Lakhs GTD The Bout and bagged the lion’s share of the ₹10.65 Lakhs prize pool worth ₹2.14 Lakhs. Online reg Harsh ‘100crdream’ Dembla placed second for ₹1.50 Lakhs.

While Spartan Poker will be setting the virtual felts on fire with its biggest-ever IOPC to-date, the PokerBaazi Monthly Value Series (PMVS) will be commencing from July 8 and is ideal for the low-to-mid stakes players. Offering ₹1.85 Crores in guaranteed prizes, the five-day series will conclude on July 12.
