It was a value-driven Wednesday for poker players, with most of the day’s marquees recording significant overlays.
The star of the day was the IOPC Millionaire Legends champion Aniket Waghmare, who overcame the star-studded IOPC Masters Table on Spartan Poker to win the “Mastermind” title and a customized Breitling Avenger Chronograph 43 watch.
Here’s a complete recap of the Wednesday action!
Spartan Poker
Bringing the curtains down on the guarantee-smashing IOPC January edition was the IOPC Masters Table. The last of the six live-streamed tourneys at the series had a delayed start due to technical issues. The event was initially expected to be 10-handed, but as Sriharsha Doddapaneni had won two featured events, the event played out nine-handed, with Doddapapeni starting with a 1.5X chip stack.
The nine-handed final table featured:
> Shrvan ‘SSAScorpion’ Amlekar (winner of IOPC#1)
> Nehal ‘Noobdaddy7’ Kumar Agarwal (winner of IOPC#9)
> Vikram ‘Tatvmasi’ Langa (winner of IOPC#28)
> Siddhanth ‘PluRibu$’ Kripalani (winner of IOPC The Millionaire United)
> Aniket ‘Ntwadumela’ Waghmare (winner of IOPC The Millionaire Legends)
> Sriharsha ‘Potato Player’ Doddapaneni (winner of IOPC High Roller & IOPC Super High Roller)
> Shrey ‘oohmaahaa’ Maheshwary (winner of IOPC PLO High Roller)
> PokerGuru Ambassador Laksh ‘LuckyBhai$’ Pal Singh (winner of IOPC The Crown)
> Bhanu ‘spectre’ Prakash KC (IOPC Leaderboard topper)
The epic IOPC Masters Table lasted for nearly three hours, with the heads-up finale taking place between Game Changer 3.0 champion Kripalani and Waghmare. While the former Grand Mega Suits Finale runner-up held the chip lead starting out, Kripalani was still a strong contender given his phenomenal online record. But it wasn’t meant to be, as the underdog, Waghmare rode his chip lead all the way to the finish line.
The final hand saw Kripalani suffer a brutal bad beat when his pocket kings lost out to Waghmare’s 8-7 (suited) that went on to complete an eight-high straight on the turn. The latter claimed the bragging right of becoming the site’s first-ever ‘The Mastermind’! Waghmare also claimed the sought-after AVENGER CHRONOGRAPH 43 BREITLING customized watch.

IOPC Masters Table – Spartan Poker
The first-ever IOPC Masters Table witnessed nine deserving champions from the just-concluded IOPC January Edition competing for the “Mastermind” title.
Starting out with a slight delay due to technical difficulties, it took about three hours of play for the IOPC The Millionaire Legends winner Aniket ‘Ntwadumela’ Waghmare to win the first-ever “Mastermind” title.
The first player to hit the rail was Shrey ‘oohmaahaa’ Maheshwary when his ran into Sriharsha ‘Potato Player’ Doddapaneni’s . The runout offered no help, and Maheshwary exited in ninth place.
About 25 minutes passed before the next elimination took place when Vikram ‘Tatvmasi’ Langa pitted his against Bhanu ‘spectre’ Prakash KC’s . The latter rivered a pair of kings, eliminating Langa in eighth place.
‘Noobdaddy7’ (anonymity requested) was the next player to depart from the felt when his was bested by Aniket ‘Ntwadumela’ Waghmare’s , ending the former’s run in seventh place.
Six-handed play turned out to be an extended affair, before Shrvan ‘SSAScorpion’ Amlekar‘s got cracked by Waghmare’s . The board
gave Waghmare trip aces, eliminating Amlekar in sixth place.
The IOPC leaderboard topper Bhanu ‘spectre’ Prakash KC was the next to go. His could not hold up against Waghmare’s that bettered to a nine-high straight, ending Prakash’s run in fifth place.
PokerGuru Ambassador Laksh ‘LuckyBhai$’ Pal Singh had shipped the most prestigious event of the IOPC January edition, the IOPC The Crown, on February 1. The Young Gun became Waghmare’s fourth victim when his fell short against the latter’s . The rundown brought Waghmare a flopped King-high straight, knocking Singh out in fourth place.
Two-time Millionaire champion Sriharsha ‘Potato Player’ Doddapaneni was one of the most (if not the most) accomplished players on the IOPC Masters Table and the hot favorite to win, considering that he started with a 50% extra stack. Sadly, he fell two spots short in third place. His was up against Siddhanth ‘PluRibu$’ Kripalani’s . The runout gave Kripalani two pairs, sending Doddapaneni to the rail.
The heads-up between Siddhanth Kripalani and Aniket Waghmare began with the latter ahead with a stack of 81,993 against Kripalani`s 59,147.
It was all over in less than 10 minutes, with Kripalani finding himself at the receiving end of a brutal bad beat with his getting cracked by Waghmare’s that turned an eight-high straight.
Waghmare went on to claim the bragging rights of becoming the first-ever ‘The Mastermind.’ He is now also the proud owner of an exquisite AVENGER CHRONOGRAPH 43 BREITLING customized watch.
