It was again a rather lackluster Monday on the heels of an explosive Sunday. The overlay floods from the day before seeped into the start-of-the week tourneys, with most of the marquee events enduring shortfalls. Let us tell you what went down on Monday!
Spartan Poker
The Monday staple tourney on Spartan Poker, the ₹12 Lakhs GTD Recharge, fell just one entry short of the guarantee with a turnout of 599 entries. Arun ‘arungeo95’ George claimed the title and top prize of ₹1.53 Lakhs. A deal was struck between the top four finishers that saw ‘Rup67tam’ (runner-up for ₹1.43 Lakhs), ‘Donkashtra’ (3rd for ₹1.43 Lakhs) and ‘speedhead’ (4th for ₹1.31 Lakhs) also secure podium finishes.
The site’s ₹6 Lakhs GTD The Flash fared slightly better. Gathering 624 entries, the event was able to surpass its advertised guarantee by ₹24,000. ‘adshark1’ topped the field and banked a ₹1.21 Lakhs winner’s payday. ‘wirepower’ came in second for ₹76,752.

Headlining Adda52’s Monday schedule was the ₹20 Lakhs GTD AOPS Big Stack Turbo. With a ₹4,400 buy-in, the event pulled in 451 entries, but it wasn’t enough to meet the listed guarantee, resulting in an overlay of ₹1.96 Lakhs. Well-known reg Ankit ‘helter_skelter’ Kapoor shipped the event for ₹3.05 Lakhs, following a four-way deal with Alok ‘apb1989’ Birewar (runner-up for ₹2.95 Lakhs), PokerGuru Ambassador Vivek ‘vivek94540’ Singh (3rd for ₹2.73 lakhs), and Shravan ‘sweatmyass13’ Chhabria (4th for ₹2.57 Lakhs). The 2019 IPC ₹100K High Roller champion Pranay ‘setmeup’ Chawla juggernaut to the top of the field and pocketed ₹1.74 Lakhs. Incidentally, he also finished runner-up in PokerStars India’s The Classic Monday for ₹53,113. He is presently ranked #37 on the monthly leaderboard with ₹18.73 Lakhs in winnings.
