Thursday delivered a firecracker lineup of tournaments, with all the flagships crushing their listed guarantees comfortably. The inaugural National Poker Series (NPS) was, once again, the star attraction of the day, and PokerBaazi had six NPS events running, and five of them played down to a winner.

PokerGuru Ambassadors had a field day posting multiple FT scores along with winning an NPS gold medal. Ankit Wadhawan was, by and far, the star performer of the day. The Chandigarh-based MTT pro championed the NPS Deepstack Championship to win ₹10.66 Lakhs and his first NPS Gold Medal. He almost won a second flagship title in Spartan Poker’s Trending Thursday, placing runner-up for ₹3.13 Lakhs. Not just that, he bagged the Day 1A chip lead in the weekend flagship, the ₹1 Crore GTD The Millionaire. Take a bow, Ankit!

PokerGuru Ambassadors indeed dominated the action, with Ashish Ahuja (runner-up for ₹7.47 Lakhs) and Naresh Veeravalli (3rd for 4.82 Lakhs) cashing the top three payouts in the NPS DeepStack Championship.

Young Gun Arsh Grover came out on top in PokerStars India’s Highroller for an impressive sixth time last night for ₹2.88 Lakhs, becoming only the third player on our tracked database to cross ₹8 Crores in lifetime online winnings.

Spartan Poker has been tweaking the prize pool guarantee of its Thursday headliner, the Trending Thursday, quite frequently. While the past few editions have seen the guarantee fluctuate between ₹20 Lakhs to ₹19 Lakhs, it offered a ₹25 Lakhs GTD last week. The Trending Thursday ran with a slightly reduced ₹23 Lakhs prize pool guarantee last night and registered 470 entries to collect a ₹23.50 Lakhs prize pool. In the end, it was Annant ‘Yennnefer’ Jain who shipped the event for ₹4.71 Lakhs. The NPS Deepstack Championship winner Ankit ‘Shippament’ Wadhawan missed a second title – placing runner-up for ₹3.13 Lakhs.
