The WPT Super High Roller fifth-place finisher Ankur Sehgal was the day’s leading scorer and bagged the prestigious WPT trophy in Adda52’s WPT Gladiator for ₹7.88 Lakhs beating Young Gun Sahil Chutani heads-up.
Spartan Poker’s The Big Deal returned on the site after ten days. Wednesday’s WPT Deepstack runner-up finisher Ankit Khattar walked away with the title and a ₹7.30 Lakhs payday after striking a heads-up deal with Mohit Dhingra (2nd for ₹6.61 Lakhs).
The long-time circuit regular Myron Pereira lapped up almost ₹5.58 Lakhs from four ITM scores, including winning Spartan Poker’s Trending Thursday for ₹4.76 Lakhs.

Spartan Poker
Player traffic has picked up on the virtual felts, and the MTT regs came out in good numbers to play the Thursday marquees on Spartan Poker. Making a return on the site was the ₹30 Lakhs GTD The Big Deal, where 165 players signed up for ₹22,000, generating a meaty ₹33 Lakhs prize pool. Wednesday’s WPT Deepstack runner-up finisher Ankit ‘Asymptote05‘ Khattar placed one better last night to grab an impressive ₹7.30 Lakhs. The Big Deal victory was a redemption of sorts for Ankit Khattar, who had come close to winning the title on July 5 but settled for a runner-up payday of ₹5.87 Lakhs. He now boasts ₹93.36 Lakhs in recorded online winnings.
The 8 PM flagship, the ₹20 Lakhs GTD Trending Thursday, took off 90 minutes before The Big Deal and logged in 475 entrants to collect a bumper ₹23.75 Lakhs prize pool. Well-known circuit reg Myron ‘Zzzzz369‘ Pereira stormed his way to the top to collect ₹4.76 Lakhs. Wednesday’s Destiny champion, Avneesh ‘IamAM‘ Munjal, secured a runner-up payday of ₹3.17 Lakhs.

He finally got the monkey off his back as he took down the title, beating out Dhinesh ‘dhineshrocky007’ Kumar (runner-up for ₹2.91 Lakhs) heads-up to collect ₹4.14 Lakhs.

The WPT trophy event of the day, the ₹30 Lakhs GTD WPT Gladiator, collected a guarantee-surpassing ₹30.90 Lakhs after 618 runners (including re-entries) signed up to play. Navigating past the competition to collect his first WPT title (his third tournament victory of the year), the WPT Super High Roller fifth-place finisher Ankur ‘aceleration’ Sehgal took down the ₹5,500 buy-in tourney for ₹7.88 Lakhs. The score boosted Sehgal’s online tally to ₹2.11 Crores with ₹36.16 Lakhs in net profits.

Day 1C of the ₹990 entry buy-in Main Event recorded 156 entrants. ‘hallamadrid’ (208,957), Abhiroop ‘abhiroopron’ Gupta (179,196), and ‘Unbelievableluck’ (172,932) topped the 26 survivors who made the cut for Day 2.

Spartan Poker`s ₹30 Lakhs GTD The Big Deal returned for a Thursday night run, a good ten days after its last outing. The ₹22,000 entry buy-in high roller event logged in a reg-laden field of 165 runners, collecting a hefty ₹33 Lakhs prize pool.
Last month’s IOPC #73 High Roller fourth-place finisher Ankit ‘Asymptote05’ Khattar championed the event to collect ₹7.30 Lakhs after striking a heads-up deal with Mohit ‘Bigfox’ Dhingra (2nd for ₹6.61 Lakhs).
The Big Deal win is Ankit Khattar`s first-recorded victory in August – an improvement on his runner-up finish in the WPT Deepstack from the day before.
This was not the first time Ankit Khattar had The Big Deal title in sight. He had come strikingly close to winning The Big Deal on July 5 when he had lost the title to Rohan Bhasin, netting ₹5.87 Lakhs for his second-place finish.
With ₹93.36 Lakhs in lifetime winnings, Khattar sits at the edge of the “₹1 Crore Club.”

The Game Changer 3.0 runner-up finisher, Parthasarathi, also placed 10th in Adda52’s WPT Mini 6-Max for ₹11,050, adding ₹4.25 Lakhs in Thursday winnings.
Dhinesh ‘dhineshrocky007’ Kumar (2nd for ₹2.91 Lakhs) and Ram ‘mowgumotu’ Kakkar (3rd for ₹1.86 Lakhs) secured podium finishes in the Thursday night marquee.
The ₹8,250 entry buy-in event posted a colossal ₹17.55 Lakhs prize pool, and the top 27 places got paid.

The ₹7,700 entry buy-in event commenced proceedings at 7:42 and, by the time the late registration period ended, the tournament lobby showed 140 player registrations. The second biggest of the eight WPT Online India events that wrapped up last night was the ₹8 Lakhs GTD WPT Mini 6-Max. The ₹2,200 entry buy-in event had 442 hopefuls in the running, and only 34 players got a share from the ₹8.84 Lakhs prize pool.
The event played down to a two-way battle between Young Gun Kanchan ‘thandicoke’ Sharma & Aritra ‘flushnace’ Sengupta. The Agra-resident Kanchan Sharma scored the win for ₹2.17 Lakhs, just as Sengupta placed runner-up for ₹1.28 Lakhs.
Kanchan Sharma made three ITM finishes last night (including the WPT Mini 6-Max win), collecting ₹2.78 Lakhs cumulatively.
Avadh ‘cateyes’ Shah (3rd for ₹88,400), last night`s standout performer Amit ‘ragingbull’ Kaushik (4th for ₹66,300), and Himanshu ‘baagdi’ Bagdwal (5th for ₹44,200) also FT-ed the event.
