The Coronavirus epidemic that has presently put many countries on lockdown was also the reason behind the final table for PokerBaazi’s PPL#43 Highroller 6-Max ₹50 Lakhs GTD being moved online. The final table was previously meant to take place onboard the PokerBaazi LIVE poker room in Goa. Still, after some of the final table finishers expressed concern over traveling to Goa, the final table for both the Highroller and PPL#58 The MoneyMaker ₹1 Crore GTD was shifted online.

The Highroller played out last night. Young Gun Ujjwal ‘Mr_Robot’ Narwal had entered the final table with the biggest stack of 3,038,213 with Anmol ‘anzzzzz’ Mehta (1,733,716) and PokerGuru Ambassador Laksh ‘boomtlt23’ Pal Sing (1,256,083) a very distant second and third in chips. Following several hours of intense play, it was Mehta who secured the title and top prize of ₹14.91 Lakhs after besting ‘bababones’ heads-up (runner-up for ₹10.46 Lakhs).

The PokerBaazi Monthly Value Series (PMVS) is well underway, and the marquee event on the Friday schedule was the PMVS#10 Fri-Yay ₹6 Lakhs GTD. The event registered 227 entrants (132 unique and 95 re-entries), collecting a prize pool worth ₹6.81 Lakhs. Young Gun Arsh ‘Button_Hai_Bro’ Grover championed the event and took home ₹1.60 Lakhs in prize money, while Puneet ‘neo1’ Dua came in second for ₹1.12 Lakhs.

PokerGuru Ambassador Devvrat ‘flopCheck’ Arya, who had shipped the PMVS#7 MegaStack ₹10 Lakhs GTD on Thursday for ₹2.20 Lakhs, picked up yet another title in the PMVS#11 8-Max ₹6 Lakhs GTD, adding ₹1.32 Lakhs to his bankroll.

The Spartan Super Series (SSS) hosted the SSS#10 The Elite ₹30 Lakhs GTD last night. The tourney drew 342 entries (153 unique, 80 re-entries and 109 re-buys), creating a prize pool of ₹34.20 Lakhs. ‘McFly’ topped the field and bested well-known MTT player Hitesh ‘hitesh bhai’ Batra heads-up to clinch the title and top prize of ₹6.30 Lakhs. Batra locked in ₹5.79 Lakhs for his runner-up finish.

The other headliner at Spartan Poker on Friday was the SSS#9 TGIF ₹12 Lakhs GTD that recorded a player pool of 929 entries (374 unique, 156 re-entries and 399 re-buys), generating a prize pool of ₹13.93 Lakhs. ‘TheWitcher’ triumphed over the packed field and bagged a winner’s payday of ₹2.67 Lakhs. PokerGuru Ambassador Vivek ‘KasolHieghts’ Singh finished runner-up for ₹1.67 Lakhs.

Adda52’s Holdem High Roller ₹35 Lakhs GTD turned out to be another crowd-pleaser on Friday as the event pulled in 204 participants (115 unique and 89 re-entries), resulting in a prize pool collection of ₹40.80 Lakhs. PokerGuru Ambassador Ankit ‘d00mtr00p3r’ Wadhawan has been in sublime form lately. After finishing runner-up in Thursday’s AOPS Freeze Finale ₹25 Lakhs GTD, the young player was back in action, and he took down the Holdem High Roller ₹35 Lakhs GTD yesterday for an impressive ₹11.34 Lakhs. Incidentally, Wadhawan also final tabled Spartan Poker’s The Elite, playing under the moniker ‘Shippament’, placing ninth for ₹72,872.

Meanwhile, PokerStars India’s UFC KO Series 36-Uppercut 6-Max ₹15 Lakhs GTD clocked in a 208-strong entry field (117 unique and 91 re-entries) and barely managed to cross its advertised guarantee, posting a prize pool of ₹15.20 Lakhs. ‘The Annihilator’ outlasted Vinayak ‘koi.toh.rok.lo’ Bajaj (runner-up for ₹1.25 Lakhs) heads-up and walked away with ₹2.75 Lakhs in first-place prize money.
