April 20 was a landmark day in India poker history with the country’s biggest-ever online tournament, PokerBaazi’s End Boss ₹5 Crores GTD, crowning a champion in Pune-based player Abhishek ‘Human_AI’ Maheshwari, who collected a jaw-dropping ₹1 Crore in the tourney! Not only that, but Spartan Poker also saw its SSS series come to an end with PokerGuru Ambassador Parikshit ‘Zapdos1311’ Dhall shipping the ever-popular SSS Millionaire ₹1.5 Crores GTD for a career-best ₹26.56 Lakhs.

Following on the heels of such an electrifying day isn’t easy. A certain amount of exhaustion is bound to set in, which eventually leads to a slight decrease in participation, and that’s what happened yesterday.

The most prominent online tournament on Monday was Spartan Poker’s ReCharge ₹18 Lakhs GTD that gathered 813 entries (375 unique, 123 re-entries, and 315 re-buys) and was hit by an overlay of ₹1.74 Lakhs. Well-known reg Anmol ‘Anzzzzz’ Mehta raced past the field and claimed a top prize worth ₹3.47 Lakhs, after besting ‘tshr112233’ (runner-up for ₹2.18 Lakhs) heads-up. Mehta notably posted another FT finish last night, finishing fourth in Adda52’s Inception to win ₹93,696!

The Deep Freeze ₹8 Lakhs GTD also suffered an overlay of ₹1.88 Lakhs after registering 102 entrants. An unknown player with the online moniker ‘RK0503’ took down the event for ₹2.04 Lakhs, while Vivek ‘acchemicals’ Karwa finished runner-up for ₹1.40 Lakhs.

After closing out a smashing SSS edition, Spartan Poker is now running the Ultimate Value Series (UVS). Featuring 45 events, the 7-day series boasts of over ₹1 Crore in prize pool guarantees. The star attraction of the series is the UVS The Millionaire Lite lined up for Sunday. With an affordable buy-in of ₹1,650, the tournament offers a ₹35 Lakhs guarantee, and the ultimate champion is expected to walk away with ₹10 Lakhs.

PokerBaazi’s Monday bonanza, The Bout ₹10 Lakhs GTD, logged in 616 participants (320 unique and 296 re-entries), generating ₹15.04 Lakhs in prize money. Karan ’99ayka99′ Jain triumphed over the field and bested ‘l_fart_u_faint’ (runner-up for ₹2.04 Lakhs) heads-up, banking the ₹2.91 Lakhs up top.

While The Bout was able to escape the overlay storm, the Bout Mini ₹5 Lakhs GTD could not. Logging in 247 entries (139 unique and 108 re-entries), the tourney had a marginal overlay of ₹6,000. Devrat ‘vickypune’ Singh and Devbrat ‘GarethBale’ Rout battled to capture the top honors, and in the end, it was Singh who walked away with the top prize of ₹1.18 Lakhs. Rout received ₹82,550 for placing second.

Young Gun Ujjwal ‘fourteenk’ Narwal has been in stellar form for the past few weeks. His recent achievements include shipping Adda52’s Hold’em Highroller ₹35 Lakhs GTD on April 10, Spartan Poker’s SSS#55 Super High Roller ₹65 Lakhs GTD on April 17 and finishing runner-up in PokerBaazi’s BSS SuperStack ₹25 Lakhs GTD on April 19. He added yet another title to his tally after he emerged victorious in Adda52’s Inception ₹10 Lakhs GTD. Narwal topped a field of 366 entries (179 unique and 187 re-entries) and netted the most significant portion of the ₹11.71 lakhs prize pool worth ₹2.92 Lakhs.

Narwal also final tabled the Monday Hustle on PokerStars India, finishing third for ₹1.10 Lakhs.

Over at PokerStars India, the Monday Hustle ₹10 Lakhs GTD was struck with an overlay of ₹2.56 Lakhs on the back of 186 entries (102 unique and 84 re-entries). Shashank ‘Goldfish097’ Shekhar won the event for ₹1.98 Lakhs, and Sandy ‘Ziigmunddd’ Lamba came in second for ₹1.48 Lakhs.

The site`s Battle Royale ₹5 Lakhs GTD just about managed to surpass its advertised guarantee, posting a prize pool of ₹5.02 Lakhs, through 201 entries (115 unique and 86 re-entries). Site regular Armaan ‘armaan007111’ Kochhar came out on top to win ₹1.05 Lakhs in the tourney!
