Sunday had brought us five Millionaire X5 winners and saw Md Zeeshan become Adda52’s latest Full House champion. To follow through in the footsteps of such a blockbuster Sunday is a tough feat, which is why most Mondays seem rather slow-paced in comparison. Yesterday was no different. Nevertheless, the start of the new month brought the Grand Poker Series (GPS) on Spartan Poker that ran alongside the other Monday flagships. Let us give you a quick recap of what went down!

Spartan Poker

Spartan Poker`s brand-new series, the Grand Poker Series (GPS), commenced last night and will run till June 7. Offering more than ₹5 Crores in prize pool guarantees, this 7-day long series comprises of 36 tournaments. The biggest guarantee event on offer yesterday was the GPS ReCharge ₹15 Lakhs GTD. Culminating a prize pool worth ₹15.22 Lakhs, ‘Sunita W 2’ championed over the 761-strong entry field and took home ₹2.94 Lakhs up top. PokerGuru Ambassador Mithun ‘Intuitionnn’ Mahesh fell one spot short of claiming the title and finished runner-up for ₹1.85 Lakhs. Mahesh seems to have found the winning touch as only last week he had taken down the Friday Euphoria ₹5 Lakhs GTD on PokerStars India.

Site regular ‘Langer’, who had won the weekly Sunday SuperStack ₹45 Lakhs GTD on May 17, was seen racing past the 730 entries (349 unique, 119 re-entries and 262 re-buys) in Spartan Poker’s GPS The Flash ₹6 Lakhs GTD. The ultimate champion struck a heads-up deal with ‘abhijaj’ (runner-up for ₹99,867) and banked a winner’s payday of ₹1.30 Lakhs.

Another crowd-pleaser, the GPS Destiny Jr ₹5 Lakhs GTD, attracted 407 participants (186 unique, 64 re-entries and 157 re-buys), generating ₹6.10 Lakhs in the prize pool. Mystery user ‘Chinmoku’ took down the event for ₹1.54 Lakhs.

Adda52

Sporting a buy-in of ₹3,500, Adda52’s Inception ₹10 Lakhs GTD managed to draw in 377 entrants (199 unique and 178 re-entries), resulting in a prize pool collection of ₹12.06 Lakhs. Annkur ‘Victor562’ Agarwal obliterated the competition and clinched the top honors, including a top prize of ₹3.01 Lakhs, while ‘vinaysk’ finished runner-up for ₹1.82 Lakhs.

PokerBaazi

PokerBaazi’s Monday bonanza, The Bout ₹10 Lakhs GTD, had a rough time pulling in the crowds. The event garnered 390 entries (215 unique and 175 re-entries) and suffered an overlay of ₹25,000. Philip ‘Philister’ Jude picked up his second-best career score of ₹2.10 Lakhs in this event, after besting Sushant ‘Sush22’ Singh in the heads-up finale. Singh pocketed ₹1.47 Lakhs for placing second.

PokerStars India

The Battle Royale ₹10 Lakhs GTD on PokerStars India gathered a crowd of 338 entries (199 unique and 139 re-entries), leading to a sizable shortfall of ₹1.55 Lakhs. ‘GABRUJAWAN’ shipped the event for ₹1.93 Lakhs and Sagar ‘sagarpupull’ Choudhury came in second for ₹86,165.
