Friday night brought two Highroller flagships, and both were hit by the overlay avalanche. The other mainstays included Spartan Poker’s The Elite, TGIF, and Adda52’s Ballers and all three tourneys penetrated their posted guarantees.

With a turnout of 359 entries (166 unique entries, 77 re-entries, and 116 rebuys), the ₹35.90 Lakhs prize pool was shared among the top 31 places. Young Gun Anuj ‘tittooTauji’ Yadav outlasted the competition to win ₹7.59 Lakhs, just as Sumit ‘Sands Myth’ Sapra finished runner-up for ₹5.11 Lakhs.

Sapra has already accumulated over ₹3 Crores in earnings for the year and sits on a whopping ₹6.26+ Crores in recorded online winnings.

The 10 Lakhs GTD TGIF gathered a whopping 700 participants who ponied up the 1,650 entry buy-in, and the top 63 finishers took a stab at the 10.50 Lakhs prize pool. It took almost eight hours of play for PokerGuru Ambassador Ankit ‘shippament’ Wadhawan to champion the tourney. He won 1.66 Lakhs following a heads-up deal with Young Gun Kanchan ‘Midge Maisel’ Sharma (runner-up for 1.64 Lakhs). Wadhawan, who had picked up titles at the Final Table Series and the WPTOI earlier this month, made it past the ₹4.29 Crores marker in lifetime earnings after last night`s win.

The day`s featured tourney at PokerStars India’s ongoing Diwali Rush series was the 30 Lakhs GTD Super Highroller. The 15,000 entry buy-in tourney got hit by an overlay deficit of 2.58 Lakhs after 201 entrants signed to play. The top 34 places landed in the money zone. The former INCOOP Super High Roller champion Kunal ‘iAlwaysHaveit’ Patni outran the stacked FT that included his heads-up opponent, PokerStars India Team Pro Muskan Sethi, to win 5.89 Lakhs. Sethi netted a personal-best 4.33 for her runner-up finish.

The 6 Lakhs GTD Diwali Rush-40 Battle Royale logged in 287 entries (157 unique, 130 re-entries), overlaying a relatively modest 26,000 – 47 places got paid. Akshat ‘takingcuntrol’ Sharma captured the title for a 1.15 Lakhs payday (51,779 in results, 64,195 in bounties) after defeating ‘backchod launda’ (runner-up for 78,701) in heads-up play.

Sharma went on a tear last night as he also triumphed Adda52’s Running Hot for ₹1.47 Lakhs. Overall, his Friday night exploits garnered him ₹2.63 Lakhs, boosting his lifetime earnings to ₹70.80 Lakhs.
