Thursday turned out to be the week`s busiest day so far, with the Spartan Poker-hosted Grand Poker Series (GPS) unfolding several big tourneys alongside the usual weekly favorites playing out across the other sites.

Let’s take a look at the Thursday highlights where our Young Guns ruled the felts!

Spartan Poker

Grabbing headlines was the ₹55 Lakhs GTD GPS #34 High Roller that bore a ₹55,000 entry buy-in. A total of 123 runners ended up paying as much enabling the event to generate a bumper prize pool of ₹61.50 Lakhs. Only the top 15 spots made it to past the bubble, and after more than eight hours of play, Young Gun Anuj ‘tittooTauji’ Yadav wound up on the podium to pocket ₹15.71 Lakhs. Yadav’s final opponent in the tourney was another seasoned player, Sajal ‘GoMuckYourself’ Yadav, who had to settle for ₹10.82 Lakhs after coming in second.

2020 has been very profitable for 24-year-old Yadav, who entered the elite Millionaire Club in April. While Yadav’s The Millionaire Legends win worth ₹42.93 Lakhs remains his career-best score to date, he also raked in a hefty ₹35.76 Lakhs in July when he captured the ₹1 Crore GTD IOPC #99 Super High Roller.

PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish ‘Spewushhhiiiii’ Ahuja (3rd for ₹7.10 Lakhs) and Guneet ‘guntz’ Kwatra (4th for ₹5.75 Lakhs) were the other top pros on the six-max FT. The Thursday headliner on the site was the ₹5,500 entry buy-in ₹30 Lakhs GTD Godfather.
