Mondays are generally one of the slowest days of the week for online poker. However, last night was different as the final table of the ₹2 Crores GTD FTS Main Event certainly spiced things up. The former Millionaire United champion and seasoned pro Arjun Pasricha came out on top of the 8-max FT to become the first-ever FTS Main Event champion and banked a jaw-dropping ₹40.01 Lakhs!

Spartan Poker
All eyes were on the star spectacle of IPC’s Final Table Series, the ₹2 Crores GTD FTS Main Event. The final table commenced at 6 PM, with Shivang ‘RegularPlaya’ Yadav starting out as the chip leader. He ultimately fell one spot short of claiming the title, which was whisked away by online beast Arjun ‘lol this guy’ Pasricha! The former Millionaire United champion has also notably finished runner-up in the IOPC Highroller and GPS Millionaire this year. He not only banked a mouthwatering ₹40.01 Lakhs payday but was also awarded a beautiful 18K gold and diamond-studded medallion, a ₹10 Lakhs sponsorship from IPC along with some super cool gift hampers!
Shivang Yadav banked a runner-up score of ₹24.90 Lakhs. The FTS #8 Big Game champion, Dhirendra ‘dhiru91’ Kumar, was in the running for a second FTS title and eventually finished third for ₹17.82 Lakhs. Young Gun Kanchan ‘Midge Maisel’ Sharma (4th for ₹13.79 Lakhs), Jasven ‘Ponkey’ Saigal (5th for ₹10.86 Lakhs), S. Nagendra ‘SorosDruckTudor’ Vadlamani (6th for ₹8.50 Lakhs), Rahul ‘RRa6ul’ Rana (7th for ₹6.28 Lakhs) and Shrey ‘godzplan’ Maheshwary (8th for ₹4.32 Lakhs) placed next in the list of FT finishers.
The Monday action on Spartan Poker is usually spearheaded by the ₹10 Lakhs GTD ReCharge. The tourney was skipped last week in anticipation of the inaugural FTS series. With the FTS now in the books, Spartan Poker brought back the weekly flagship. The ₹2,200 entry buy-in ReCharge registered 471 participants to record an overlay deficit of ₹58,000. After play culminated in the wee hours of Tuesday morning, Ravee ‘R4Rounder’ Mathi Sundara Jaya Jothi was the last player standing, and he collected ₹1.71 Lakhs for the win. A heads-up chop saw Kiran Kumar ‘mannu2424’ Reddy Ainala take home a runner-up payout worth ₹1.62 Lakhs.
The ₹5.5 Lakhs GTD Flash also suffered an overlay of ₹49,000 on the back of 501 entries. Gautam ‘Nathandrake18’ Rohilla agreed to a three-way deal with Ameya ‘ameya7777’ Sarda (runner-up for ₹76,208) and Buhr ‘Riokid’ Advirkar (3rd for ₹67,052) before claiming the title for ₹83,065. The ₹30 Lakhs GTD PPL#35 PLO HighRoller winner now has ₹87.21 Lakhs in recorded online earnings.
PokerStars India
The DIWALI RUSH series got underway on Sunday, and grabbing the Monday headlines was the ₹10 Lakhs GTD DIWALI RUSH-10 Hustle. Clocking in 183 entrants who ponied up the ₹4,400 entry buy-in, the event had a sizeable overlay of ₹2.68 Lakhs. Delhi-based player Armaan ‘armaan007111’ Kochhar outlasted ‘chittu10’ (runner-up for ₹1.48 Lakhs) in heads-up to clinch the title and top prize of ₹1.98 Lakhs. Kochhar now has ₹3.13 Crores* in lifetime online winnings, an incredible ₹1.36 Crores of which he has won on PokerStars India.
The other marquee tourney running on PokerStars India was the ₹3 Lakhs GTD DIWALI RUSH-12 Zoom 3-Max PKO that wrangled in 158 entries, overlaying ₹63,000. The mystery user ‘tanayp’ took down the event for ₹59,835, following a three-way deal with ‘panky3010’ (runner-up for ₹33,155) and ‘GOODFATHER999’ (3rd for ₹32,959).
Harsh ‘kakori kabab’ Dembla FT-ed four tourneys on Monday and this included a fourth-place finish in the DIWALI RUSH-12 Zoom 3-Max PKO for ₹14,456.
Adda52
The ₹10 Lakhs GTD Inception was the headliner on Adda52 last night. Registering 297 contenders, the ₹3,500 entry buy-in event fell ₹49,600 short of its break-even mark. Gagandeep ‘gaganhyd’ Singh championed the event, pocketing a cool ₹2.56 Lakhs. Abhijeet ‘2abhisingh’ Kumar placed second for ₹1.52 Lakhs, while birthday boy Anant ‘Pro_baba’ Purohit came in third for ₹1.15 Lakhs. Gagandeep Singh had on November 9 claimed his career-first WPT trophy in the ₹15 Lakhs GTD WPT Monday Feature. He presently has ₹89.29 Lakhs in lifetime online earnings.
Playing under the moniker ‘BuddhaBhikari,’ Harsh Dembla finished fourth for ₹85,000. He also won PokerBaazi’s Monday MonsterStack and final tabled PokerStars India’s DIWALI RUSH-12 Zoom 3-Max PKO and PokerBaazi`s The Bout, winning over ₹2 Lakhs cumulatively.
The ₹3 Lakhs GTD Hexagram ran from 9:30 PM to 2:32 AM and logged in 130 entries, resulting in a ₹40,000 overlay. Arpan ‘Distroyer’ Majhi won the event for ₹85,500, just as ‘badman44’ finished runner-up for ₹57,000. PokerGuru Ambassador Shashank ‘IndianRat’ Desai placed third for ₹39,000.
PokerBaazi
PokerBaazi’s Monday signature tournament, The Bout, featuring a ₹10 Lakhs guarantee, pulled in 377 entries, overlaying ₹57,500. Ashish ‘Notoriouskonvict’ Nailwal raced past the field and banked a personal-best ₹2.10 Lakhs. ‘Pkiller28’ finished runner-up for ₹1.47 Lakhs. Nailwal presently has ₹58.29 Lakhs in MTT cashes.
The ₹2 Lakhs GTD Monday MonsterStack also experienced the same fate as The Bout when its 113-entry field wasn’t enough to avoid an overlay of ₹30,500. Well-known reg Harsh ‘100crdream’ Dembla shipped the event of ₹53,600, after besting ‘Gadaffi’ (runner-up for ₹37,540).
The PokerBaazi BankRoll Builder Series (PBBS) hit the ground running on November 23. The micro-stakes 35-event series guarantees over ₹6 Lakhs and is slated to run till November 29.
The center of attraction of the series will undoubtedly be its ₹2 Lakhs GTD PBBS Main Event. The first of the Main Event’s six starting flights took place last night. Flight 1 gathered 149 entries (93 unique and 56 re-entries), and only 14 runners made it through to Day 2. ‘blackrathi’ (370,000), Avinash ‘aksinha97’ Kumar (332,000), and ‘a5hwin’ (316,000) bagged the top stacks of the day.

India Poker Championship’s inaugural Final Table Series (FTS) entered the history books last night after crowning its Main Event champion. The showstopper ₹2 Crores GTD FTS Main Event pulled in 653 contenders (Day 1A – 294 entries and Day 1B – 359 entries) through two starting flights to post a guarantee-smashing ₹2.09 Crores prize pool.
Day 2 began with 87 runners (81 unique) on Sunday – all assured a min-cash of ₹66,778 – and played out till the eight-handed FT was formed.
The final table began on November 23 at 6 PM, with Shivang ‘RegularPlaya’ Yadav joining the action as the overnight chip leader. It took a little over an hour for the long-time poker reg Arjun ‘lol this guy’ Pasricha to take down the Main Event title for a career-best ₹40.02 Lakhs. Additionally, Pasricha was felicitated with an 18K gold and diamond-studded medallion and a sponsorship deal worth ₹10 Lakhs from IPC, not to forget some really cool gift hampers.
Pasricha has many big scores to his name, dating all the way back before the online poker boom in India. This year alone, Pasricha has accumulated over ₹1.89 Crores on Spartan Poker. Some of his biggest wins on the site include championing the second edition of the Millionaire United on May 17 – finishing runner-up in the IOPC Super High Roller in February and another runner-up in the GPS Millionaire for ₹11.78 Lakhs on June 7. His consistency in such massive guaranteed tourneys has kept him in the top five of this year`s most profitable players.
The start of the FT chip leader, Shivang’ RegularPlaya’ Yadav, settled for the runner-up prize of ₹24.91 Lakhs.
Dhirendra ‘dhiru91’ Kumar, who was chasing his second FTS medallion, was among the few players who banked multiple scores in the Main Event. He collected ₹18.76 Lakhs (3rd for ₹17,82,429 and 38th for ₹94,032) in total.

After more than six hours of non-stop action, Ashish ‘Notoriouskonvict’ Nailwal traversed the vast field to win ₹2.10 Lakhs after beating ‘Pkiller28’ (runner-up for ₹1.47 Lakhs) in the heads-up battle. This was Nailwal’s new personal-best score outdoing the ₹1.47 Lakhs he won in this same tourney three weeks ago. He has crossed ₹58 Lakhs in lifetime recorded earnings after the win.

The PokerStars India-hosted Diwali Rush series ran its Day 2 roster of tourneys on Monday, and headlining the list of tourneys was the ₹10 Lakhs GTD DIWALI RUSH-10 Hustle. The event began at 7.30 PM, and with 183 entries that included 103 unique players, it registered an overlay of ₹2.68 Lakhs.
Taking the title home after seven hours of play was site reg Armaan ‘armaan007111’ Kochhar. Kochhar, who now has more than ₹3.13 Crores in recorded MTT winnings and has kept relatively low-key recently, pocketed the ₹1.98 Lakhs up-top after dominating ‘chittu10’ (runner-up for ₹1.48 Lakhs) heads-up.
