The action-packed Friday was the perfect for bearer of the blistering weekend coming up ahead. Headlining the action was Spartan Poker’s GPS, PokerStars India’s INCOOP, and PokerBaazi`s new Weekly HighRoller. Here’s the complete recap.

Spartan Poker

Friday marked the start of the ₹2 Crore GTD GPS Main Event that logged in 385 runners on Day 1A. Only 59 players survived the day`s play with the mystery crusher ‘McFly’ (320,049) bagging the end of the day chip lead. ‘masterbluff’ (213,724) and MTT pro Deepak ‘Chimpoo’ Bothra (165,035) rounded out the top three stacks of the day. The ₹11,000 entry buy-in tourney will run four starting flights through Sunday.

The other big draw on Spartan Poker was the GPS – Grand The Elite. The ₹11,000 entry buy-in tourney logged in 380 entries to register an overlay of ₹2 Lakhs on it’s ₹40 Lakhs prize pool guarantee. Commencing at 9:30 PM, the tourney went on till 6:11 AM with Chandan ‘Meme lover’ Arora bringing things to a close and collecting ₹8.46 Lakhs. ‘axone ‘ finished runner-up for ₹5.69 Lakhs.
