The online action continues to get steamier as we hit the mid-way mark. Spartan Poker’s marquee Wednesday tourney Destiny 12.0 ₹30 Lakhs GTD returned for another smashing run yesterday. With 643 entries (270 unique, 170 re-entries, and 203 rebuys), the event collected a prize pool of ₹32.15 Lakhs and saw Ashish ‘mmonas’ Kaushik become the latest player to secure his berth in the upcoming Destiny 12.0 SnG Finale. Kaushik sent his heads-up opponent Young Gun Arsh ‘BigggTymeR’ Grover packing to the rail to clinch the title along with a cool paycheque worth ₹7.35 Lakhs. As for Grover, finishing runner-up added ₹6.14 Lakhs to his burgeoning bankroll.

Grover was indubitably the standout performer yesterday, posting a total of five cashes which included three final table finishes and a title. After final tabling Spartan Pokers’ Destiny 12.0, he dominated PokerBaazi’s recently launched PokerBaazi Monthly Value Series (PMVS), shipping the PMVS#2 ₹5 Lakhs GTD (8-Max) for ₹1.30 Lakhs and finishing runner-up in the PMVS#1 ₹2 Lakhs GTD (8-Max) for ₹42,761. He also scored in PokerBaazi’s G.O.A ₹20 Lakhs GTD (17th for ₹20,000), as well as 9stacks’ StackUp @8 ₹2.5 Lakhs GTD (15th for ₹3,717).

The other Spartan major Hi-Fi ₹6 Lakhs GTD brought in 275 entries (149 unique, 41 re-entries and 85 rebuys), suffering an overlay of ₹50,000. Seasoned pro and WPT India Big Bounty champion Sriharsha ‘Fish2050’ Doddapaneni toppled his heads-up rival Utsav ‘CAsek’ Taneja to snag the title along with ₹1.32 Lakhs in prize money. Taneja pocketed ₹89,400 for placing second. Also joining Kaushik and Doddapaneni in the winner’s club was Rishab ‘rishabjain1983’ Jain, who won the Ultimate PLO ₹2 Lakhs GTD for ₹74,209.

PokerBaazi’s G.O.A ₹20 Lakhs GTD was one of the biggest guaranteed events on offer last night and got hit hard by the overlay storm with a shortfall of ₹2.10 Lakhs. Online phenom Anurag ‘13anurag’ Srivastava championed the tournament and earned a ₹3.70 Lakhs payout in the process. He also finished 18th in Adda52’s Maverick ₹10 Lakhs GTD to win ₹8,500.

Joining the overlay parade were both the big guarantee events hosted on Adda52 last night. While the Maverick ₹10 Lakhs GTD suffered a shortfall of ₹60,425, the RPS Big Game 3 ₹2 Lakhs GTD had an overlay of ₹33,000. ‘utsisharma’ took down the Maverick for ₹2.16 Lakhs and Kunal ‘Charsilaladka’ Chaudhary won the RPS Big Game 3 for ₹48,479.

PokerStars India’s Night on Stars ₹5 Lakhs GTD enjoyed an unbeaten run, collecting ₹6.1 Lakhs in the prize pool. Anuj ‘brockLesnar95’ Yadav sky-rocketed to the top of the 305-strong entry field (161 unique and 144 re-entries) and netted ₹1.14 Lakhs in first-place prize money.

Ayush ‘(Giz^zY)91’ Khandelwal, who had finished sixth in the Night on Stars for ₹24,245, came out on top in the Progressive KO 4-Max ₹2 Lakhs GTD to win ₹33,104, following a heads-up chop with ‘Turbulentvein’ (runner-up for ₹29,953).

9stacks’ daily StackUp @8 ₹2.5 Lakhs GTD was finally able to overcome the overlay curse and registered 177 entries (124 unique and 53 re-entries), creating a prize pool worth ₹2.65 Lakhs. Two tournament regulars, ‘virat_kohli’ and Amit ‘killing_spree’ Jangir, locked horns in the final showdown, and it was the former who eventually walked away with the top honors, including a ₹69,030 paycheque. Jangir received ₹47,790 for his second-place finish.

The Wow Wednesday ₹75K GTD on Poker Dangal crowned a champion in ‘beerboy191’, who ran past a field of 168 entrants (115 unique and 53 re-buys) to claim a winner’s payday worth ₹18,000.

Besides Grover, Bharat Vasan was the other player who picked up multiple scores, three in total, including two final table finishes.
