Even though Mondays are generally one of the slowest days of the week, it turned out to be an exciting day for online MTT’s yesterday that saw some of the biggest names in the business rake in the big scores! Here’s a quick recap.

Spartan Poker

The biggest guarantee event on Spartan Poker yesterday, the ReCharge 12 Lakhs GTD, saw Umang ‘Umang94’ Kakarania juggernaut to the top of a 624-strong entry field that comprised of 281 unique runners, 82 re-entries and 261 re-buys. Kakarania banked the most significant portion of the 12.48 Lakhs prize pool worth 2.07 Lakhs, after agreeing to a heads-up chop with ‘wcr185’ who pocketed 1.90 Lakhs in second-place prize money. Former Young Gun and last week’s third-place finisher in the weekly online rankings, Sahil ‘$lim$hady19’ Chuttani placed third for 1.15 Lakhs.

The 6 Lakhs GTD Flash pulled in 601 participants (302 unique, 85 re-entries and 214 re-buys), enough to surpass its advertised guarantee by 1,000. Mystery user ‘notoriousB.I.G’ won the event for 85,150, following a three-way deal with ‘billubhai’ (runner-up for 73,549) and ‘EatingFish’ (3rd for 70,482).

The Ultimate Value Series (UVS) kicked off yesterday, and the marquee event on the schedule was the 5 Lakhs GTD UVS Destiny Jr. The tourney suffered an overlay of 89,000 through 274 entries (139 unique, 40 re-entries, and 95 re-buys). Pranav ‘mithrandir16’ Anand, who had finished runner-up in Spartan Poker’s GPS Big Daddy on Sunday for 1.42 Lakhs, took down the Destiny Jr title for 1.32 Lakhs, while Kunal ‘cvc’ Sharma came in second for 81,250.

Adda52

Running alongside the UVS on Spartan Poker is the Adda52 Online Poker Series (AOPS). With a buy-in of 4,400, the AOPS BigStack Turbo 20 Lakhs GTD was the headliner tourney on Adda52 last night, and it brought in 508 contenders (287 unique and 221 re-entries), generating a 20.32 Lakhs prize pool. The heads-up was a battle between two of the most prominent names in the domestic circuit, PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish ‘rocky3705’ Ahuja and MTT crusher Anant ‘pro_baba’ Purohit. Ahuja emerged victorious in the end and took home 3.87 Lakhs in the top prize. A heads-up deal between the duo saw Purohit pocket 3.84 Lakhs for his runner-up finish, along with a final table finish in Spartan Poker’s UVS Destiny Jr (9th for 10,500). At present, Purohit is placed fifth on the yearly leaderboard with 1.62 Crores in earnings, and Ahuja is right behind him, on the sixth spot, with 1.51 Crores in winnings.

The other flagship event on Adda52 was the 6 Lakhs GTD AOPS Table For 6.
