The weekend is approaching, and there’s a lot on the platter with Spartan Poker’s IOPC The Millionaire Legends set to run right alongside Adda52’s APF Full House. For now, let’s take a look at the smashing run of Friday tourneys. Looking at the winner’s tally, we have to say, PokerGuru Ambassador’s enjoyed a dominating run yesterday, winning an incredible three IOPC titles!
Spartan Poker
The biggest single score of the day belonged to PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish ‘Spewushhhiiiii’ Ahuja. The Chandigarh-based poker pro rode past 738 entries in the ₹11,000 buy-in ₹60 Lakhs GTD IOPC #62 – The Elite, eventually striking a heads-up deal with Yohan ‘PAPITO Patel to win ₹11.69 Lakhs. While Ahuja’s online scorecard has touched a staggering ₹5.13 Crores, his blistering run in The Elite has sprung him onto the third position on the yearly online rankings!
Runner-up Patel walked away with ₹11.52 Lakhs in prize money. The tourney collected a prize pool of ₹73.80 Lakhs, over 20% more than the advertised guarantee.
Sahil ‘ImHighIshove’ Mehboobani (3rd for ₹6.42 Lakhs), the IOPC Highroller runner-up finisher Pranav ‘boller’ Bagai (5th for ₹3.97 Lakhs) and Gaurav ‘zillastar’ Bhandari (7th for ₹2.33 Lakhs) posted FT scores.
Joining Ahuja in the IOPC champion’s club were fellow stable-mates Parikshit ‘zapdos1311’ Dhall and Ankit ‘Shippament’ Wadhawan.
Dhall bested a 1,539-entry field in the ₹18 Lakhs GTD IOPC #61 TGIF, defeating Young Gun Anuj ‘tittooTauji’ Yadav (runner-up for ₹2.60 Lakhs) heads-up for ₹4.27 Lakh. Here again, the guarantee was crushed with the final tally touching ₹23.08 Lakhs, over 30% more than the posted guarantee.
The other Chandigarh-based pro, Wadhawan, stormed past 723 entries to win the ₹10 Lakhs GTD IOPC #63 Destiny – IOPC Edition for ₹3.75 Lakhs. Utkarsh ‘kidpokerNJ’ Vaish finished runner-up for ₹2.31 Lakhs.
Ajay ‘gabbarsingh’ Dhayal took down the ₹6 Lakhs GTD IOPC #58 for ₹1.17 Lakhs.
PokerBaazi
Sreekanth ‘n0thing’ Narayan sailed past 295 entries in PokerBaazi’s ₹10 Lakhs GTD The Ridge to win ₹2.21 Lakhs. ‘Simsim’ finished runner-up for ₹1.55 Lakhs. Narayan`s online scorecard has grown to ₹1.83 Crores this month, and while his Millionaire Lite victory last December for ₹11.12 Lakhs remains his career-best score to date, he came close to taking down Summit on Thursday – finishing fourth. Just a day later, Narayan outlasted 299 entries to win The Ridge.
Narayan also picked up a seventh-place score worth ₹16,519 in PokerStars India’s Micro Millions Friday Euphoria.
The IMPS series’ showstopper tourney, the ₹550 buy-in ₹5 Lakhs GTD IMPS #43 Mini Main Event, flagged off yesterday.Day 1A gathered 896 entries, and the survivor’s list ran 127 players long. Sitting at the top of the list was ‘valarmorgulis’ (405,000) with ‘amandpoker27’ (380,000) and ‘pbPROvegas’ (371,000) in hot pursuit.
Adda52
The primetime Friday tourney on Adda52, the ₹20 Lakhs GTD APF The Ballers, began at 8 PM last night, and by the time late registrations closed, it had logged in 364 entries that included 195 unique players who re-entered 169 times. When the dust settled in the wee hours on Saturday morning, Surbhit grovahova’ Grover was sitting with all the chips in play and a sizeable payday of ₹6.23 Lakhs. Grover had to fend off Himanshu ‘bagdwalhimanshu’ Bagdwal (2nd for ₹3.77 Lakhs) heads-up! This happens to be the second top finish for Badgwal this week. He had won the Maverick on Tuesday for ₹3.06 Lakhs.
Vishal ‘Isnalucry’ Madan (4th for ₹1.99 Lakhs), Kunal ‘KunalPatni’ Patni (5th for ₹1.34 Lakhs), Guneet ‘guntz’ Kwatra (6th for ₹93,503) and Vikram ‘Vikram2323’ Mishra (7th for ₹74,802) FT-ed The Ballers.
In the ₹5 Lakhs GTD APF Table for Six, Saahib ‘saagib’ Bawa beat out 201 entries to win ₹1.39 Lakhs. ‘TheRedWaste’ finished runner-up for ₹81,656.
The ₹5,500 buy-in ₹1 Crore GTD APF Full House played out its second starting flight yesterday. Day 1B registered 273 entries (174 unique and 99 re-entries). Adding to the Day 1A numbers, the event has collected 495 entries so far. Only 32 players could bag chips for Day 2, and carrying the biggest stack forward was the new Ultron champion Kunal ‘KunalPatni’ Patni.
Patni, who also final tabled The Ballers yesterday, bagged 396,422 for Day 2 and is a fair distance ahead of the next biggest stack that belongs to the former WSOP champion Aditya ‘A_Sushant’ Sushant (252,626).
PokerStars India
Bringing on the big-ticket action on PokerStars India was the 10 Lakhs GTD Uppercut MAGIC Edition. The tournament witnessed a packed field of 254 entries, finally ending the long string of overlays. It took nearly seven hours of play before Aman ‘zontory’ Bhadu denied former millionaire champion Srihari ‘bangbang1999’ Bang the title and walked away with ₹1.95 Lakhs (includes bounties).
Some the prominent regs on the FT included Anant ‘Dr4gonW4rrior’ Purohit (3rd for ₹86,844), Shravan ‘lukBo$$13’ Chhabria (5th for ₹48,926), Ashwin ‘Ashwinvijay’ Vijay (6th for ₹27,256), Ankur ‘Flopzila’ Agarwal (7th for ₹20,877), and Shardul ‘merci999’ Parthasarathi (9th for ₹11,881).
Another player seen making a podium finish was Rocky ‘ravenvlaw410’ Gehlot. He topped the 208-strong field in the ₹5 Lakhs GTD Micro Millions- 52 Friday Euphoria to win ₹87,073 after striking a heads-up deal with ‘mohitg16’ (2nd for ₹76,721).

Bagging the most massive stack at the end of Day 1B was Kunal ‘KunalPatni’ Patni (396,422),who happens to be the overall chip leader after the two starting flights.
WSOP bracelet winner Aditya ‘A_Sushant’ Sushant (252,626) and ‘hellhell’ (230,816) rounded out the top three stacks on Day 1B.

On Friday, the featured tourney on the IOPC schedule was the ₹11,000 buy-in The Elite ₹60 Lakhs GTD. Like all other tourneys at the series, the flagship tourney recorded a smashing 738 entries, generating a prize pool of ₹73.80 Lakhs.
PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish ‘Spewushhhiiiii’ Ahuja has been in breakout form since the start of 2020. He had claimed an IOPC title in the January edition after shipping the IOPC#57 Sunday SuperStack ₹40 Lakhs GTD for ₹7.74 Lakhs.
He had added at least four other FT scores at the last IOPC.
Ahuja took down his first IOPC title at the ongoing series last night when he championed The Elite for ₹11.69 Lakhs. He chopped the top prize with Yohan ‘PAPITO’ Patel (runner-up for ₹11.52 Lakhs).
The lawyer-turned-poker pro who was ranked #6 on the annual winnings leaderboard has leaped to take the #2 spot after this win, crossing the ₹2 Crore-mark in winnings for the year. This Super Achiever had earlier in the week surpassed the ₹5 Crore-mark in recorded winnings, and currently sits with ₹5.13 Crores in career winnings.
