With the APT Online India Series running full steam on PokerBaazi, and Spartan Poker hosting a packed schedule of massive guaranteed flagships, the mid-week action was nothing short of the weekend fireworks!
PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish Munot was the day`s breakout winner. He finally clinched the elusive APT trophy he missed out on in Vietnam last month after taking down PokerBaazi’s APT#30 Mini Main Event for ₹13.13 Lakhs. Young Gun Anmol Mehta banked an equally impressive ₹9.19 Lakhs in second place, posting his second runner-up finish in the series in three days.
The most profitable player of the year on our tracked database, Young Gun Sahil Chutani, pulled further ahead of the competition after championing Spartan Poker’s Wednesday High Roller last night for ₹6.53 Lakhs. ‘Billy_Hargrove’ finished runner-up for ₹4.41 Lakhs.
The second PokerGuru Staking stalwart making the Wednesday headlines, Arjanveer Singh Chadha, did so on the back of his victory march in Spartan Poker’s Destiny, which he won for ₹4.71 Lakhs and a seat in the Destiny 24.0 SnG Finale. Tuesday’s Bounty Builder HR finalist Sahil Mahboobani locked in a second-place payout worth ₹3.13 Lakhs. Chadha raked in over ₹6.07 Lakhs across his Wednesday run, climbing three places to #7 in the annual leaderboard rankings.
Ravinder Singh championed the second biggest guaranteed tournament running on PokerBaazi, APT#31 SuperStack, collecting his biggest cash prize of the year so far worth ₹4.10 Lakhs and his first APT Online title. He struck a heads-up deal with ‘gauravfrisky’ (2nd for ₹3.18 Lakhs).
Improving upon his runner-up finish in The Mint the day before, Mohit Mehta took down PokerBaazi’s APT#32 (6-Max) Turbo for ₹2.51 Lakhs and his second APT Online title (his first this series). He chopped the title heads-up with Mayank Maruka (2nd for ₹2.12 Lakhs).
Shivam Khandelwal (Won APT#29 PKO for ₹1.21 Lakhs) and the four-time IOPC title winner Saahib Bawa (Won APT#28 for ₹88,900) won the other APT Online titles of the day.
Our in-house poker streamer Arpit Jain AKA Chota Machhi, ended an over six-month-long dry spell as his stars finally aligned in PokerStars India’s Night on Stars yesterday. He took down the Wednesday marquee on stream for ₹1.01 Lakhs, picking up his first title of the year. The #BB2 MoneyMaker champion Sahil Nair collected ₹77,611 in second place.
