An extended weekend ended with patriotic flavors on Monday, August 15, as the nation celebrated 75 years of Independence. Breaking the usual Monday monotony was PokerBaazi’s first-ever Baazi Turbo Series (BTS), even as the fifth edition of Pocket52’s Pocket Poker Championship (PPC) (August 15 – 21) and Adda52’s Nano Poker Series got off the ground. Ashish Nailwal topped the online charts on Independence Day with ₹3.62 Lakhs in collective winnings. The PokerBaazi reg won the day`s biggest guaranteed tournament, BTS#9 Monday Prime, for ₹2.86 Lakhs, climbing to #5 in the BTS leaderboard standings. Nailwal chopped the Monday Prime title three-way with ‘Afficionado’ (2nd for ₹2.89 Lakhs) and Rahul Sengar (3rd for ₹2.74 Lakhs).

Rising Star Aman Parakh went the distance in PokerBaazi’s other Monday flagship, BTS#10, posting his second BTS title victory (his third in August) for ₹1.97 Lakhs taking over the #1 position in the BTS leaderboard rankings. Rugal Advani finished runner-up for ₹1.38 Lakhs. Parakh made away with ₹2.14 Lakhs in Monday winnings from five ITM finishes.

Ankush Narang grabbed his first title of the year, taking down Adda52’s Freedom Fest for 1.91 Lakhs.

The FCS #92 High Sunday Celebration runner-up finisher Alok Birewar kept his sails high as he shipped Spartan Poker`s Monday mainstay, The Rainmaker, for ₹1.88 Lakhs, following a heads-up deal with PokerGuru Ambassador Vishal Bajaj (2nd for ₹1.71 Lakhs). Birewar collectively added ₹1.99 Lakhs on the back of three deep runs yesterday.
