Mondays are notorious for low turnouts resulting in overlays across most flagships. But yesterday was different!

PokerBaazi’s The Big Show turned out to be a blockbuster affair and registered an unprecedented 642-entry field, collecting a whopping ₹16.05 Lakhs prize pool – more than double its posted ₹7.50 Lakhs guarantee. The former The Millionaire runner-up finisher Ashit Sharma overcame the tough competition and struck a heads-up deal to win The Big Show title for the second time for ₹2.57 Lakhs. Dhiraj Lakhotia placed runner-up for ₹2.48 Lakhs, courtesy of the deal.

Adda52 reg ‘peacelover’ (anonymity requested) won the Iron Man title for the second time for ₹2.20 Lakhs, with Vikash Kumar finishing runner-up for ₹1.30 Lakhs. Kumar FT-ed two more events, including the ReCharge and the Voyager, adding over ₹1.83 Lakhs in Monday winnings.

Vinay B came out on top in Spartan Poker’s ReCharge to collect ₹1.86 Lakhs after beating Siddharth Gangwar (2nd for ₹1.24 Lakhs) heads-up. This week`s Sunday Superstack runner-up finisher, Gangwar, placed second in the Deepstack as well for ₹62,519, cumulatively adding ₹1.94 Lakhs from his Monday night run.

As for PokerStars India, the site is readying up for another smashing edition of its flagship offering, the Winter Series. The mega-series commences at 2 PM today and will run up to January 16, dishing out ₹1.60 Crores in guaranteed prizes. The user ‘Leafly422’ banked the single-largest score on the site yesterday after winning Battle Royale for ₹1.17 Lakhs, with ‘ashu_sky’ coming in second for ₹67,472. The former IOPC – The Millionaire champion Anurag ‘GutshotHaiBro’ Srivastava came third for ₹41,993.

Young Gun Arsh Grover took down Spartan Poker`s Deepstack for ₹98,425, posting his first title victory in over three months!

Rohan Sharma, Aditya Kesharwani, Madhur Kapoor, Akhand Shukla, Abhishek Sonu, and Pratik Doshi were the other prominent winners.

Spartan Poker’s ₹8.50 Lakhs ReCharge brought in 465 entrants, collecting a generous ₹9.30 Lakhs prize pool. The Godfather 7.0 champion Vinay ‘ConCrete’ B trumped the competition to win the ₹2,200 buy-in Monday flagship for an impressive third time, netting ₹1.86 Lakhs. This week`s Sunday Superstack runner-up finisher Siddharth ‘cooking_nuts’ Gangwar continuing his hot run, posted a runner-up payday worth ₹1.24 Lakhs.

Siddharth Gangwar has been putting in a lot of volume, and the results are pouring in. On Monday, Gangwar posted two runner-up finishes – the other in the ₹4.50 Lakhs GTD Deepstack for ₹62,519. Another three ITM finishes helped Gangwar collectively win ₹1.94 Lakhs, boosting his online earnings to ₹1.65 Crores.

Overcoming the 505-player field in the Deepstack was Young Gun Arsh ‘BigggTymeR’ Grover. One of the top-ranked players on the domestic felts, Grover claimed the bragging rights for ₹98,425, posting his first title victory in over three months. The event generated a guarantee-crushing ₹5.05 Lakhs prize pool and paid out 47 places.

The ₹2,750 buy-in event logged in 642 entries, collecting a whopping ₹16.05 Lakhs prize pool (2.14X times its advertised guarantee). The top 81 places were assured a min-cash worth ₹4,013. The former The Millionaire runner-up finisher Ashit ‘nexus010’ Sharma championed the event for the second time for ₹2.57 Lakhs. He chopped the title heads-up with the EndBoss 2021 runner-up finisher Dhiraj ‘supernuts’ Lakhotia (2nd for ₹2.48 Lakhs).

Taking home the title after over six hours of action was ‘Leafly422’, who won the 1.16 Lakhs up-top, with ‘ashu_sky’ placing runner-up for 67,471.

The 1.50 Lakhs Deepstack featuring a 1,375 buy-in pulled in 109 entrants to leave an overlay shortfall worth 13,750, and the top 13 places finished ITM. Akhand ‘akhand188’ Shukla won the title for the second time in the last three months for 40,184, and ‘041195’ came second for 21,042.
