Another Freaky Friday is in the books, and one player that clearly deserves applause is Ayush ‘lazyman’ Garg. The IIT Kanpur alumni emerged as the biggest winner for the second day running and has already raked in almost ₹17 Lakhs from the two back-to-back AOPS title victories this week! Here`s a quick recap of all the Friday action.

Spartan Poker

The biggest guaranteed tourney on Spartan Poker last night was the ₹50 Lakhs GTD The FMS Main Event. Day 1A of this three-flight tourney logged in 132 participants, and only 26 runners made it through to Day 2. PokerGuru Ambassador Jayjit ‘David Blaine’ Ray bagged the most massive stack with former Millionaire champion Anujkumar ‘aatmaan108’ Kodam and PokerGuru Ambassador Shashank ‘Jai Bajarangbali’ Desai close on his coattails. Two more starting flights, Day 1B and Day 1C, will play out on June 20 and 21, respectively.

The ₹20 Lakhs GTD FMS Highroller logged in 143 challengers, who each ponied up the ₹22,000 buy-in to generate a juicy ₹28.60 Lakhs prize pool. Walking away with the lion`s share of the prize money worth ₹6.09 Lakhs was Manish ‘potlords’ Gandhi after cutting a heads-up deal with ‘imfish’ (runner-up for ₹5.43 Lakhs). Gandhi is fast approaching the ₹1 Crore-mark in recorded online winnings on Spartan Poker!

The other marquee tourney on Spartan Poker, the ₹10 Lakhs GTD TGIF, found a champion in Buhr ‘Riokid’ Advirkar who won ₹2.02 Lakhs following a heads-up deal with Sreeharsha ‘yUDdam’ Boneni (runner-up for ₹1.87 Lakhs). The ₹1,650 buy-in event brought in 826 entries, and the top 71 places took a bite out of the ₹12.39 Lakhs prize pool.

PokerBaazi

The ₹10 Lakhs GTD The Ridge saw a player pool of 332 entries (181 unique and 151 re-entries), which led to a slight ₹4,000 overlay and the top 36 places got paid. Championing the tourney was Sanchit ‘Czar’ Pande, who defeated ‘aj071190’ (runner-up for ₹1.55 Lakhs) heads-up to win ₹2.21 Lakhs.

Ayush ‘lazyman’ Garg is on a breakout run having shipped back-to-back AOPS flagships! The IIT Kanpur alumni had won the AOPS Godfather on Thursday for a career-best ₹8.01 Lakhs. He did even better last night when he took down the ₹35 Lakhs GTD AOPS Mini Highroller for ₹8.95 Lakhs! The ₹7,500 buy-in event registered 547 entries (284 unique and 263 re-entries), and the top 55 places received a piece of the ₹37.30 Lakhs prize pool. Singh has been on a blistering run himself as he had won the Destiny on Wednesday for ₹7.98 Lakhs.
