Another slow-paced Monday saw all the flagships plagued by the overlay fever. Poker players can, however, take consolation in the fact that Spartan Poker’s Ultimate Value Series (UVS) starts today, with PokerBaazi’s ₹2 Crore GTD Game Changer returning on September 16.
Here’s a recap of all the big winners from Monday!
Spartan Poker
With the second edition of the Grand Poker Series (GPS) culminating on Sunday, the action slowed down considerably on Monday. The day’s biggest draw, the ₹10 Lakhs GTD ReCharge, logged in 494 participants, falling ₹12,000 short of meeting the proposed guarantee. Young Gun Arsh ‘BigggTymeR’ Grover was the first player to cross the finish line and netted a winner’s paycheque of ₹2 Lakhs, while ‘Bankruptcy’ came in second for ₹1.33 Lakhs. Grover also final tabled two tourneys on PokerStars India’s, taking his cumulative score for the night to ₹2.63 Lakhs.
Presently ranked #2 on the annual leaderboard, Grover has been in fierce form over the past few months. Grover has ₹5.22 Crores in recorded online earnings, and ₹2.81 Crores from that he has accumulated in 2020.
The other marquee event on Spartan Poker was the ₹6 Lakhs GTD The Flash. The ₹1,100 buy-in tourney logged in 566 entrants, experiencing an overlay of ₹34,000. ‘Dragon Kewe’ clinched the top honors for ₹88,470, after a three-way deal with ‘u2day’ (runner-up for ₹81,778) and ‘onlywinner007’ (3rd for ₹73,292).
The action is expected to pick up the pace later today, with the Ultimate Value Series (UVS) returning for yet another edition. The five-day series will run till September 20 and features 34 tournaments with ₹90 Lakhs in prize pool guarantees!
PokerBaazi
Leading the charge on PokerBaazi was ₹10 Lakhs GTD The Bout. Sporting a buy-in of ₹2,750, the event attracted 364 entries and fell ₹90,000 short of its listed guarantee. Jitendra ‘Jeet0’ Gadhwal juggernaut to the top of the field and captured the ₹2.10 Lakhs top prize, even as seasoned pro Jasven ‘JasvenSaigal’ Saigal had to contend with a runner-up finish worth ₹1.47 Lakhs.
The ₹2 Lakhs GTD Monday MegaStack was taken down by ‘Radha1110’ for ₹56,300, with Neeraj ‘SelfClaimedPro’ Kumar coming in second for ₹39,420. The event clocked in 97 runners to register a marginal ₹6,000 overlay.
Adda52
The ₹10 Lakhs GTD Inception was the biggest guaranteed tourney on Adda52 on Monday night. Attracting 243 contenders, the ₹3,500 buy-in event fell ₹1.90 Lakhs short of the break-even mark. Seasoned pro Shravan ‘sweatmyass13’ Chhabria was the last player standing and won ₹2.41 Lakhs, after besting ‘beherapunya2111‘ (runner-up for ₹1.73 Lakhs) heads-up.
Adda52 hosted two ₹2 Lakhs guarantee events yesterday. The Quad KO – 4 Max registered 130 players, experiencing an overlay of ₹83,000. ‘IamINEVITABLE’ shipped the event for ₹56,000.
The second ₹2 Lakhs GTD event was the Afternoon Adda that fared slightly better as it had to fill in a deficit of ₹24,500 on the back of 156 entries. Pranav ‘pkpok’ Khandalkar won the event for ₹54,000.
PokerStars India
The Monday bonanza on PokerStars India was the ₹15 Lakhs GTD INCOOP-124 Battle Royale that dragged in 196 entries, suffering an overlay of ₹5.20 Lakhs. Bharat ‘MojoJojo2193’ Vasan championed the tourney after defeated Ram ‘TheLagLawyer’ Kakkar heads-up to win ₹3.19 Lakhs. Kakkar took home ₹1.70 Lakhs in second-place prize money. With this win, Vasan has successfully crossed the ₹1 Crore-mark in overall winnings and presently has ₹1.04 Crores in recorded earnings to his name.
The ₹5 Lakhs GTD INCOOP-126 Big Bubble Rush fared no better, registering 164 entries, resulting in a shortfall of₹90,000. Karan ‘999AykA999’ Jain came out on top to win ₹1.08 Lakhs following a three-way deal with ‘cutymannu89’ (runner-up for ₹54,316) and ‘drpokerabc’ (3rd for ₹49,335).

Bharat ‘MojoJojo2193’ Vasan added ₹3.19 Lakhs to his bankroll after defeating Ram ‘TheLagLawyer’ Kakkar (runner-up for ₹1.70 Lakhs) heads-up for the title.
The seven-handed FT also included known names like Abhijeet ‘sexylady7766’ Kumar (3rd for ₹1.55 Lakhs) and Avijit ‘SwangoRay’ Jaiswal (4th for ₹95,960)

Coming out on top after an over six-hour-long run was Young Gun Shravan ‘sweatmyass13’ Chhabria, who made the podium finish to bag ₹2.41 Lakhs.
Chhabria, who has hidden his online scores, beat ‘beherapunya2111’ (runner-up for ₹1.73 Lakhs) in the final showdown.

Spartan Poker’s Monday staple tourney, the ₹10 Lakhs GTD Recharge, clocked in 494 hopefuls, falling six entries short on the 500-entry prize pool guarantee.
After almost seven hours of play, Young Gun Arsh ‘BigggTymeR’ Grover emerged the winner after beating ‘Bankruptcy’ (runner-up for ₹1.33 Lakhs) in the heads-up to win ₹2.01 Lakhs.
Grover also FT-ed the two flagship tourneys on PokerStars India. He placed ninth in INCOOP-124 Battle Royale for ₹35,620 and followed that up by taking fifth-place in the INCOOP-126 Big Bubble for ₹28,986.
The Delhi-based pro`s blistering run these last few months has helped him cement his place at #2 on the annual leaderboard with ₹2.81 Crores in winnings for the year. His lifetime MTT tally has crossed ₹5.22 Crores.
