It was an action-packed Wednesday with Spartan Poker’s IOPC series charging full-speed ahead towards a scintillating finale. Here’s the complete recap of all that went down yesterday.

Spartan Poker

This entire week’s star attraction will be the ₹3 Crores GTD IOPC Main Event – The Crown. Sporting a ₹11,000 buy-in, the multi-flight tourney has already played out three starting flights. On Wednesday, Day 1C added 459 entries to the existing 902 entries to take the total tally to 1,361 entries. After almost five hours of play, the field dwindled down to 51 contenders. Bagging the most massive stack on Day 1C was long-time reg Madan ‘madsysman’ Kumar (252,039). Sandeep ‘effuno’ Varma RS (219,681) and ‘Glober’ (215,030) were the next top stacks.

161 players have already advanced to Day 2 for Sunday, and 140 among them are unique entries. The Day 1B chip leader ‘AkqA’ continues to retain the overall chip lead after three starting flights with their stack of 309,958. There are five more starting flights yet to play out.

Lighting up the virtual felts on Day 14 of the IOPC series was the ₹50 Lakhs GTD IOPC #92 Destiny. Logging in 1,145 entries, the ₹5,500 buy-in event booked a profitable run, collecting ₹57.25 Lakhs in the prize pool. Racing past the re-infested field was the 2019 IPC ₹100K Highroller champion Pranay ‘kabira speaking’ Chawla, who walked away with the title and his best-recorded score on the site worth ₹14.31 Lakhs. He later posted on Facebook, “Well, that’s one way to put an end to a downswing! This one was special!”

Chawla defeated ‘poxz’ in the heads-up play, and the latter took home ₹8.59 Lakhs in second-place prize money.

This was Chawla’s second IOPC title in the ongoing series. Two days ago, he had won the IOPC#81 for ₹1.39 Lakhs. He even FT-ed the IOPC#94 Destiny – IOPC Edition last night, placing 9th for ₹20,520.
