After a short slump, the online action showed signs of picking up as the prominent online platforms amped up the guarantees closing in on the weekend. Adda52, for the second time this week, had to cancel all MTTs because of technical issues. Here’s a quick recap of all the action.

Spartan Poker

As has been the norm, Spartan Poker played host to the biggest guaranteed tourney last night. The site`s Thursday flagship ₹22 Lakhs GTD Ultron logged in massive 664 entries to garner a juicy 26.56 Lakhs prize pool, and the top 63 places boarded the money bus. MTT pro Chirag ‘chilling’ Sodha came out on top to win ₹3.95 Lakhs following a three-way deal with ‘Buddy25′ (2nd for 3.65 Lakhs) and ‘veselka’ (3rd for 3.09 Lakhs). This happens to be Sodha`s fourth flagship title of July, and the victory has his taken his annual tally over ₹1.87 Crores.

The other primetime tourney on the site, the ₹7.5 Lakhs GTD Monster Stack, found a champion in ‘palash777,’ who cut a heads-up deal with ‘89aj‘ (2nd for ₹1.58 Lakhs) to win ₹1.73 Lakhs.

PokerBaazi

PokerBaazi witnessed a healthy uptick in tournament action on Thursday as its ₹20 Lakhs GTD The Summit saw 331 sign-ups who ponied the ₹8,250 buy-in to generate a ₹24.83 Lakhs prize pool. Walking away with the title and the ₹5.48 Lakhs up-top prize money was MTT reg Mandar ‘Thewall233’ Darade, who was in the red for ₹1.13 Lakhs before last night. The title victory has brought him in a profit of over ₹4 Lakhs on the site. Abhishek ‘sharktops’ Jaiswal finished runner-up for ₹3.84 Lakhs.

The ₹5 Lakhs GTD Thursday MonsterStack was championed by veteran pro Jasven ‘JasvenSaigal’ Saigal, who padded his wallet by ₹1.52 Lakhs after defeating MTT reg Kunal ‘pinguv’ Vaswani (runner-up for ₹1.06 Lakhs) in heads-up!

PokerStars India

PokerStars India’s ₹18 Lakhs GTD Highroller was the only Thursday flagship that fell short of its guarantee. With a turnout of 234 entries, the site had to fill in a shortfall of ₹45,000. Powering his way through the reg-infested field ‘rpawar2092’ defeated Vinayak ‘koi.toh.rok.lo’ Bajaj (runner-up for ₹2.56 Lakhs) heads-up to win ₹3.47 Lakhs.

The ₹5 Lakhs GTD Battle Royale Mini logged in 226 entries to generate a ₹5.65 Lakhs prize pool, and the top 39 places finished ITM. Topping them all was Pranay ‘aankhdikhatahai’ Chawla, who agreed to an equal chop with Ram ‘TheLagLawyer’ Kakkar. Both players earned ₹47,352 (excluding bounties) in cash prize.

Adda52 seems to be struggling with technical issues at the moment. The issues resurfaced on the site for the second time this week, forcing them to cancel all Thursday tournaments.
