It was an electrifying Tuesday for poker players as three major stops kept the online action ticking. The day was replete with big-ticket tourneys and jaw-dropping finishes. A special shoutout to Young Gun Gaurav Sood for crossing the ₹7 Crore-mark in recorded winnings.

Spartan Poker

The MTT action on Spartan Poker was nothing short of spectacular, with another seven players walking away with IOPC titles on Day 6 of the series. The day`s featured tourney, the ₹35 Lakhs GTD IOPC #37 Mega Stack, logged in 1,118 entries to record a marginal ₹1.46 Lakh overlay shortfall. The former Elite champion, Sagar ‘Pocket_king_K’ Raj, outlasted the competition to book his first title victory of 2021, worth ₹5.51 Lakhs in prize money. Sanish ‘Sanish21’ Chhabra finished runner-up for ₹5.15 Lakhs – courtesy of a heads-up deal.

There is simply no stopping Rubin ‘icantwin’ Labroo, who took down his fourth flagship title of the month, winning the ₹13 Lakhs GTD IOPC #38 for ₹2.15 Lakhs. The anonymous ‘carryminati_1’ chopped the title with Labroo, collecting ₹2.04 Lakhs. Labroo placed sixth in PokerBaazi’s APT#23 Turbo for ₹28,412, improving his online record to ₹5.90 Crores.

Vinayak ‘haayegarmi’ Bajaj topped the 483-entry field in the ₹10 Lakhs GTD IOPC #39 Destiny IOPC Edition to win ₹1.94 Lakhs, becoming the second player after Aarchit ‘Aarchit’ Dhadwal to book a seat in the ₹1 Lakh GTD IOPC Destiny Finale. Parminder ‘Bounceez’ Randhava finished runner-up for ₹1.23 Lakhs.

The ₹7 Lakhs GTD IOPC #34 came down to a heads-up battle between Sagar ‘grinder1111’ Tuteja and Abhiroop ‘Ron007’ Gupta (runner-up for ₹1.13 Lakhs), with the former eventually coming out on top for ₹1.20 Lakhs.

Young Gun Anmol ‘Anzzzzz’ Mehta (Won IOPC #35 ₹6.5 Lakhs GTD for ₹1.26 Lakhs), Badri ‘Dontwantbadbeat’ Narayan (Won IOPC #33 ₹5 Lakhs GTD for ₹95,950), and Ankur ‘showstopper89’ Aryan (Won IOPC #36 ₹4 Lakhs GTD for ₹86,504) took down the other IOPC titles on Tuesday.

There has been a lot of movement at the top of the IOPC leaderboard, with Kunal ‘NutsTodayBluffTomo’ Patni charging his way to the #1 position with 5,283 points. Ankur ‘showstopper89’ Aryan (4,812 points) and Bhanu ‘spectre’ Prakas KC (4,556 points) are currently ranked #2 and #3 in the standings, respectively.

The biggest of them, the ₹10 Lakhs GTD Winter Series-16 Sixth Sense SE, registered 263 entries to fill in an overlay shortfall of ₹2.11 Lakhs. Online beast Sagar ‘sagarpupull’ Choudhury navigated his way to the top to win ₹1.82 Lakhs, defeating ‘TheLagLawyer’ (anonymity requested) (runner-up for ₹1.31 Lakhs) in heads-up play. This happens to be Choudhury’s third title victory in January, boosting his online earnings to ₹5.24 Crores.

The ₹5 Lakhs GTD Winter Series-18 Uppercut Mini generated a prize pool worth ₹5.60 Lakhs from 224 entries. And scoring a flagship victory for the second day running, Pranav ‘pkpok13’ Khandalkar came out on top to collect ₹89,729. The final table saw a three-way deal, with Sreeharsha ‘DonkeyCommitted’ Boneni (runner-up for ₹52,197) and Akshay ‘VaahBhaiVaah’ Gupta (3rd for ₹41,190) securing the other top payouts.

The ₹1.5 Lakhs GTD Winter Series-19 Supersonic ₹1.5 Lakhs GTD saw Tanay ‘tanayp’ Parekh outlasting 128 entries to win ₹29,772. He cut a three-way deal with ‘msf2943’ (2nd for ₹21,689) and Shubham ‘theViperArena’ Chaudhary (3rd for ₹23,639).

‘Infic11’ (Won Winter Series-20 Ultrasonic ₹1.75 Lakhs GTD for ₹39,054), Akhilesh ‘GM2318’ Gautam (Won Winter Series-15 Bubble Rush ₹1 Lakh GTD for ₹22,234), Vaibhav ‘vaibsss’ Bhatia (Won Winter Series-14 Afternoon on Stars ₹1.5 Lakhs GTD for ₹21,974), and Akash ‘as5072828’ Sharma (Won Winter Series-17 Win the Button ₹1.25 Lakhs GTD for ₹20,357) were the other title winners of the day.

PokerGuru Ambassador Naresh ‘emperor457’ Veeravalli championing the tourney for the second time ever collected ₹3.72 Lakhs. Young Gun Siddharth ‘skaria1’ Karia placed runner-up for ₹2.25 Lakhs.

Veeravalli finished sixth in Spartan Poker’s IOPC #39 – Destiny – IOPC Edition for ₹45,200, crossing ₹3.09 Crores in tracked online winnings. This is the fifth consecutive day a member of PokerGuru Staking has championed a headline tourney!

The ₹2.5 Lakhs GTD Voyager saw the mystery user ‘Cashton’ navigating their way to the top of a 265-entry field to win ₹68,900. ‘vroy219’ finished runner-up for ₹41,075. This is “Cashton’s” second consecutive week winning the Voyager.

Firing up the MTT action on PokerBaazi was the inaugural APT Online India Series that completed five events on Tuesday.

The day`s star attraction, the ₹50 Lakhs GTD APT Mini Main Event, logged in 976 entries (Day 1A – 337, Day 1B – 288, and Day 1C – 351) across three starting flights, registering a moderate ₹1.20 Lakhs in overlays. Day 2 of the tourney commenced at 6 PM on Tuesday, and racing past the competition was none other than Devvrat ‘IntelInvest’ Himatsingka. The Kolkata-based player defeated Sunday’s Mega Suits & Winter Series-02 Sunday Special SE champion Sahil ‘bluffme19’ Chutani heads-up to collect ₹8.49 Lakhs along with the coveted APT Guardian Trophy and the APT Championship Ring. The runner-up Chutani banked ₹5.62 Lakhs for his efforts, pushing his lifetime MTT scores to ₹2.04 Crores.

PokerBaazi gave away a second APT Trophy in the ₹25 Lakhs GTD APT#24 PLO Highroller yesterday. The tourney pulled in 266 hopefuls to post a guarantee-smashing ₹26.60 Lakhs prize pool. The heads-up finale took place between Karan ‘bozo’ Kapur and the 2020 leaderboard topper, Young Gun Gaurav ‘gaug17’ Sood, with the former eventually coming out on top to win ₹5.88 Lakhs.

The runner-up, Sood, added ₹4.12 Lakhs to his bankroll. Sood also placed fifth in Spartan Poker’s IOPC #39 – Destiny – IOPC Edition for ₹59,200. Sood had won APT#10 PLO on Saturday and IOPC #22 – Sunday Superstack on Sunday and is already ranked #3 on the January leaderboard. His smashing Tuesday night run helped him cross the benchmark ₹7 Crore-mark in online winnings!

Another tourney with a sizable virtual rail following the FT was the ₹7 Lakhs GTD APT#23 Turbo. Gautam ‘M8a7’ Rohilla was the last player standing in the tourney, and he ran past a field of 470 entries to win ₹1.42 Lakhs. What made the win more remarkable was that Rohilla was live-streaming his deep run. ‘aceskings4’ finished runner-up for ₹99,335.

Kapur’s biggest score to date had come in Adda52`s first-ever ₹50 Lakhs GTD Adda52 Big Game on January 10, where he had finished runner-up for ₹9.12 Lakhs.

Sood may have missed out on the APT trophy, but the six-figure score was enough to win him an entry in the prestigious 7 Crore-Club!’

Racing past the competition was online reg Vinayak ‘haayegarmi’ Bajaj, who walked away with ₹1.94 Lakhs in prize money while Parminder ‘Bounceez’ Randhava came in second for ₹1.23 Lakhs.

Bajaj happens to be the second player to book a seat in the Destiny SnG Finale, after Aarchit Dhadwal.

Returning on Tuesday as part of PokerStars India’s ongoing Winter Series, the ₹10 Lakhs GTD Winter Series – 16 Sixth Sense was the mainstay Tuesday attraction on the site. The event began as scheduled at 7.30 PM and continued till 3.06 AM. A field of 263 entries translated into a noticeable overlay of ₹2.11 Lakhs.

Site regular Sagar ‘sagarpupull’ Choudhury was the last player standing in the tourney and won ₹1.82 Lakhs. ‘TheLagLawyer’ (anonymity requested) secured a runner-up payday of ₹1.31 Lakhs.

This is the third title that Choudhury has won in January. He had entered 2021 on a high note, after he won two flagship events on January 1, namely, the ₹25 Lakhs GTD The Elite for ₹5.54 Lakhs and the ₹12 Lakhs GTD The Weekly HighRoller for ₹3.64 Lakhs. Yesterday’s win has boosted Choudhary’s MTT winnings to ₹5.24 Crores.

Vaibhav ‘vaibsss’ Bhatia was another standout performer.
