Spartan Poker is heading towards an action-packed November with an unprecedented three Millionaires lined up between November 8 to 24, promising a jaw-dropping ₹4.5 Crores + in prize pool guarantees. As a precursor to the nail-biting action that is to follow next month, Spartan Poker’s flagship Wednesday tourney, Destiny 11.0 ₹25 Lakhs GTD, crowned a worthy champion in Divyank ‘mikkudiv’ Prasoon late last night. Championing a field of 609 entries (249 unique, 141 re-entries, and 219 rebuys), Prasoon managed to secure his seat in the Destiny SnG finale that is to take place on November 3 for a shot at one of three Vegas Travel packages up for grabs.

Winning Destiny 11.0 holds special significance for Prasoon, who was denied the title in this very event early last month by Raghav Bansal. While a runner-up finish had fetched Prasoon ₹4.43 Lakhs then, this time, he padded his bankroll by a hefty ₹7.91 Lakhs. In fact, Prasoon had also finished runner-up in last November’s The Millionaire for ₹15 Lakhs and even popped his live poker cherry at the recently concluded Baazi Poker Tour (BPT) where he posted two scores. His most notable run at the series was his 46th place finish in the BPT ₹50K Main Event for ₹1.17 Lakhs.

The two Wednesday majors on PokerBaazi attracted big numbers as well, with both surpassing their guarantees. The headliner on the site was The Vegas ₹10 Lakhs GTD, where dominating the 371-player (195 unique and 176 re-entries) field, Honey ‘ho9ey’ Bijlani snagged the title along with ₹2.33 Lakhs in prize money. Imdad ‘rahuljohn1983’ Ahmed joined Bijlani in the winner’s circle – he defeated PokerGuru Ambassador Faiz ‘AilaGaya’Alam heads-up to win the 6-Max Wednesday SuperStack ₹3 Lakhs GTD for ₹92,253, with Alam pocketing ₹64,673 for his runner-up finish.

PokerStars India’s Diwali Rush series hosted five high-value events yesterday. All except the headliner DIWALI RUSH-17: Omania ₹10 Lakhs GTD rode past the advertised guarantee. The Omania, unfortunately, suffered an overlay of nearly 13%, amounting to ₹1.28 Lakhs, through 198 entries (112 unique and 86 re-entries). ‘mosaichunter’ won the event for ₹1.75 Lakhs, after striking a three-way deal with ‘ZEEKE777’ (runner-up for ₹1.23 Lakhs) and Rohit ‘shashi1183’ Kumar (3rd for ₹1.31 Lakhs). The other events saw ‘FLlPflops’ (DIWALI RUSH-19: Deepstack ₹3 Lakhs GTD for ₹74,189), Vikas ‘ACPcalling’ Chaudhary (DIWALI RUSH-20: Deep Hyper Progressive KO ₹1.5 Lakhs GTD for ₹47,579) and ‘rajmachhole’ (DIWALI RUSH-15: Afternoon on Stars ₹1.5 Lakhs GTD for ₹20,375) taking home the top prize.

Adda52’s Wednesday bonanza tournaments – Maverick ₹10 Lakhs GTD and Hexagram ₹2.5 Lakhs GTD – as usual, registered overlays. The more prominent of the two, the Maverick was taken down by ‘dhallamit’ who bagged ₹2.48 Lakhs in prize money, while ‘gladiator86’ topped the Hexagram to win ₹60,201.

9stacks’ daily mainstay event, StackUp @8pm ₹2.5 Lakhs GTD, yet again saw ‘rank1_’ win the top prize of ₹65,000. The unknown user had taken down this very event on Monday, followed by a runner-up finish on Tuesday, making for three podium finishes on consecutive days!

Over at Poker Dangal, the Wow Wednesday ₹75K GTD logged in 174 entries (118 unique and 56 rebuys) resulting in an overlay of ₹22,800. A player with the moniker ‘Fuckingloser’ came out on top and won ₹16,500.
