Spartan Poker

Young Gun Gaurav ‘mozzie17’ Sood went on a tear last night, winning two flagship titles, including the biggest guaranteed event of the day. The Thursday rampage has propelled the 2020 leaderboard topper to the #1 position on the yearly rankings (winnings and profits both), ending Manish Lakhotia’s eight-week reign. Of the four deep runs that Gaurav Sood picked up last night were two title wins, the first of which came in Spartan Poker’s ₹20 Lakhs GTD Trending Thursday. He took down the ₹5,500 entry buy-in tourney for ₹3.85 Lakhs, chopping the title heads-up with Chirag ‘chilling’ Sodha (runner-up for ₹3.22 Lakhs).

The dentist-turned-poker pro raked in ₹36.61 Lakhs in Thursday winnings, pushing his online scorecard north of ₹9.83 Crores. Sood happens to be the only player on our tracked database with over ₹9 Crores in online winnings, and at the pace at which he is going, it won’t be long before he crosses the ₹10 Crore mark in online winnings.

The Trending Thursday runner-up finisher Chirag Sodha, for his part, also had an eventful day, picking up two more ITM finishes worth ₹3.47 Lakhs cumulatively. His stats: Lifetime Winnings: ₹5.52 Crores | Lifetime Profits: ₹1.61 Crores

The ₹8 Lakhs GTD Monster Stack attracted 377 entries, falling 23 entries short of its 400-player guarantee.
