Thursday brought with it the regular weekly flagships. Both PokerBaazi’s ₹1 Crore GTD IMPS Main Event and Adda52’s Full House also began proceedings with Spartan Poker’s Grand Poker Series scheduled to commence its run today.
Here are the day’s highlights.
Spartan Poker
Thursday night on Spartan Poker was dominated by the ₹18 Lakhs GTD Ultron. Amazingly, the tourney logged in the exact number of entries it had last week – 455, but this time, the ₹18.20 Lakhs prize pool was collected from 210 unique players, 89 re-entries, and 156 rebuys. If it had been Yohan Patel winning the tourney last week, this time it was Advait ‘Ronaldinho18’ Rajguru making it to the podium to claim the ₹3.22 Lakhs up top.
Rajguru struck a heads-up deal with ‘arjkhandelwal’ (runner-up for ₹2.84 Lakhs) before collecting his second-best online score, pushing his online tally to ₹68.82 Lakhs.
The other marquee tourney to run course on the site was the ₹7.5 Lakhs GTD Monster Stack. The event began at 9.30 PM, registering 420 entries to collect ₹8.4 Lakhs in prize money. After deciding upon a deal three-way, ‘deranzzdd’ championed the tourney for their second-best recorded score on Spartan Poker worth ₹1.27 Lakhs. The player denied Yuvraj ‘ThePredator’ Singh (runner-up for ₹1.24 Lakhs) and Rishab ‘NoChanc3’ Malik (3rd for ₹1.12 Lakhs) the title.
PokerStars India
PokerStars India’s Thursday run of tourneys was headlined by the ₹10 Lakhs GTD Uppercut Magic Edition. A turnout of 275 entries ensured that the prize pool guarantee was easily smashed. Online phenom Anant ‘Dr4gonW4rrior’ Purohit made a dash for the top spot and eventually locked horns with ‘mansh55’ in the heads-up finale. The latter eventually prevailed to win the title and the ₹2.12 Lakhs first-place cash prize. The winner had only a day ago, posted a fourth-place finish in the ₹5 Lakhs GTD Big Bubble Rush for ₹26,045.
Purohit banked ₹1.08 Lakhs for his runner-up finish pushing his lifetime online tally over ₹5.73 Crores.
Also making it to the six-max final table was PokerGuru Ambassador Vivek ‘Mystic Peaks’ Singh (3rd for ₹59,539), Bharat ‘hzgod’ Kumar (4th for ₹52,405), Shardul ‘merci999’ Parthasarathi (5th for ₹50,039), and Varun ‘wardev’ Devayya (6th for ₹27,412).
Over at the ₹3 Lakhs GTD The Classic, the former Millionaire champion Ayush ‘Kyanaamrakhu’ Garg topped the 131-strong field to win ₹73,636. This was the second FT finish for Garg on Thursday as he also finished third in PokerBaazi’s The Summit for ₹2.12 Lakhs, bringing his day’s winnings to ₹2.86 Lakhs – improving his online repertoire of scores to ₹2.94 Crores.
The tournament experienced an overlay of ₹38,000. PokerGuru Ambassador Mithun ‘ThePokeRajaIN’ Mahesh (6th for ₹17,462), and Harsh ‘kakori kabab’ Dembla (7th for ₹13,095) FT-ed the tourney!
PokerBaazi
The second edition of PokerBaazi’s IMPS has entered the final stretch with the much-awaited IMPS #97 Main Event, commencing its run at 8 PM yesterday. Guaranteeing a whopping ₹50 Lakhs for an entry buy-in of just ₹1,100, there is a lot of value to play for. Sure enough, Day 1A logged in an impressive 1,123 entries (842 unique and 281 re-entries). After five hours of play, 133 players were able to secure stacks for Day 2 with ‘Sunpro’ (385,000), ‘rekop’ (360,000), and ‘pinkpasta’ (342,000) bagging the top stacks.
Siddharth ‘siddchat’ Chaturvedi (342,000), Haider ‘Haider’ Madraswala (323,000), Armaan ‘Armaan007’ Kochhar (323,000), Jaikiram ‘testify’ Kumar (295,000), and Niraj ‘ooltus’ Yadav (284,000) were the other Day 2 qualifiers.
The other headline tourney running alongside Day 1A of the IMPS Main Event was the ₹20 Lakhs GTD The Summit. Registering 219 entries, the tourney overlaid ₹3.57 Lakhs. Racing ahead of a reg-infested FT was a familiar name on the MTT circuit, Sahil ‘ImHighIshove’ Mahboobani, who collected ₹4.70 Lakhs; after defeating Young Gun Shardul ‘duuurrrr’ Parthasarathi (runner-up for ₹3.30 Lakhs) heads-up!
Mahboobani also placed fourth in Spartan Poker’s 7.5 Lakhs GTD Monster Stack for 66,108, sending his online record soaring to ₹5.85 Crores.
Even Parthasarathi posted a second FT finish last night, placing fifth in the ₹10 Lakhs GTD Uppercut Magic Edition on PokerStars India for ₹50,039.
Ayush ‘Proman502’ Garg (3rd for ₹2.12 Lakhs) fell whiskers short of the top spot in The Summit. But if he was denied the title in The Summit, Garg took down the ₹3 Lakhs GTD The Classic on PokerStars India.
Wednesday’s The Pride runner-up Vikranth ‘borntrouble’ Varma (4th for ₹1.57 Lakhs), PokerGuru Ambassador Arjanveer ‘holdbaby’ Singh Chadha (5th for ₹1.18 Lakhs), and Guruprasad ‘fish_calling’ Gupta (6th for ₹94,400) were the other notable names who final tabled The Summit.
The ₹2,200 entry buy-in ₹10 Lakhs GTD IMPS #96 Highroller recorded a guarantee-busting 601 entries to collect ₹12.02 Lakhs in the prize pool. The Game Changer 4.0 runner-up Mohak ‘Tiltin’ Kapoor has been in splendid form recently, and it was hardly surprising to see him navigating his way through the field to win ₹2.27 Lakhs. ‘pokerss’ finished runner-up for ₹1.59 Lakhs.
Kapoor also final tabled the ₹5 Lakhs GTD Thursday MonsterStack, finishing third for ₹58,000 to get to ₹1.14 Crores in online winnings.

Uttam Kumar ‘chinunew’ Sinha finished runner-up for ₹4.20 Lakhs.
In May, Sinha had scored a career-best ₹9.88 Lakhs in Spartan Poker’s ₹40 Lakhs GTD Destiny. With ₹93.17 Lakhs in recorded winnings across the major domestic sites, Sinha is now close to stepping beyond the ₹1 Crore-mark.
