Friday was another big day on the virtual felts. Spartan Poker’s IOPC, PokerBaazi’s IMPS and Adda52’s APF are all on the home stretch now, setting the stage for a scintillating weekend. Here`s a complete recap.

Spartan Poker

The site’s biggest-ever IOPC edition is heading to a climactic finale, and the ₹3 Crores GTD IOPC Main Event – The Crown ran its fifth starting flight Day 1E yesterday. With 446 entries piling in, the field size has touched 2,216 entries so far. Only 60 players survived the onslaught on Day 1E with Shashank ‘Goldfish097’ Shekhar (261,734) carrying forward the chip lead. ‘Paperboi’ (249,725) and ‘Ronaldinho18 (220,178) are in hot pursuit of Shekhar.

The ₹60 Lakhs GTD The Elite played down to a heads-up between the two PokerGuru Ambassador`s Gokul ‘Super Kings’ Raj and Ashutosh ‘stupefy’ Balodhi. Raj laddered past the 648 competitors to win the title and a seven-figure haul worth ₹10.64 Lakhs after a heads-up deal with Balodhi (runner-up for ₹9.73 Lakhs). This is the second time Raj has taken down this tourney in the last 30 days. On June 27, he had won this tourney for ₹8.04 Lakhs.

This time, there was stiff competition for Raj on the final table, as he had to sail past Young Gun and the IOPC Super High Roller champion Anuj ‘tittooTauji’ Yadav (3rd for ₹5.67 Lakhs) and Chirag ‘chilling’ Sodha (4th for ₹4.50 Lakhs) to eventually meet fellow stablemate, Ashutosh ‘stupefy’ Balodhi heads-up.

Raj also finished fifth in the TGIF for ₹1.01 Lakhs, and his bumper Friday night grind catapulted his online record to ₹3.22 Crores.

If the Elite breached its guarantee by collecting a ₹64.80 Lakhs prize pool, so did the other Friday headliner, the ₹18 Lakhs GTD TGIF. The tourney registered 446 entries to generate ₹21.51 Lakhs in prize money. Young Gun Devang ‘equity_hunter’ Yadav beat out the competition and his final opponent ‘TEXASDOLLI’ (2nd for ₹2.72 Lakhs) to claim his first IOPC title and a winner’s payday of ₹3.73 Lakhs.

Yadav was another player who posted multiple FT scores yesterday. He finished third in PokerBaazi’s The Ridge for ₹99,700.

There were 561 entries in contention at the ₹10 Lakhs GTD Destiny IOPC Edition. Aman ‘alwaysriver’ Kejriwal closed it out by taking down the title for ₹2.92 Lakhs. Like Yadav, this was Kejriwal’s first IOPC win after a runner-up finish in this same event on Wednesday. Former Millionaire champion Saurabh ‘darksider’ Rohila finished runner-up for ₹1.80 Lakhs. He did one better in PokerBaazi`s ₹3 Lakhs GTD Friday SuperStack, winning the title and₹77,250 in prize money.

Abhineet ‘bankelal13’ Jain (IOPC #103 ₹6 Lakhs GTD for ₹1.35 Lakhs) and Shashank ‘westworld’ Jain (IOPC #104 Monster Stack ₹5 Lakhs GTD for ₹1 Lakhs) were others who won IOPC titles.Jain also picked up a ninth-place score worth ₹13,835 in IOPC #103.

The IOPC series is now entering its third consecutive weekend, and fast running towards the finish line with only 14 tourneys left to play out. Let’s take a look at what the IOPC leaderboard standings look like.
