Like the day before, the online turnouts on Tuesday had little to write home about. With regs chasing down the last few WPT trophies at WPT Prime India in Goa, most online marquees were left to bear heavy overlay losses.
The ten-time IOPC title winner Gopal Bajaj was the Tuesday trailblazer with total winnings of ₹3.62 Lakhs. Last week’s NPS#82 (7-Max) SPRINT gold medallist Abhishek Sonu was another Tuesday trailblazer. The online reg won two marquee tournaments and banked away a hefty ₹3.48 Lakhs from three deep runs. He made top finishes in PokerStars India’s Bounty Builder HR (₹2.58 Lakhs) and PokerBaazi’s (7-Max) Afternoon Boost (₹88,122).
Anurag Rawat broke an over two-month-long dry spell by pulling out a victory march in PokerBaazi’s The Endeavour for a site-best ₹3.11 Lakhs (his second-best online score). PokerBaazi loyalist Arjun Basakaran nailed the (7-Max) SPRINT for a career-best ₹2.07 Lakhs – winning his fourth SPRINT marquee on the site and ending an over six-month title drought. Last week’s NPS#81 (PLO-4) gold medallist Rising Star Aman Parakh finished runner-up for ₹1.44 Lakhs (won ₹2.05 Lakhs overall).
The 2022 BPT Main Event finalist Shion Hossain delivered his best online run yesterday, locking in ₹1.85 Lakhs for a full recovery of all past losses. He bagged away a personal-best ₹1.25 Lakhs after taking down PokerBaazi’s Daily Value Boost following a three-way deal with ‘arnavkamboj‘ (2nd for ₹1.20 Lakhs) and old-timer Randeep Lather (3rd for ₹1.13 Lakhs) and FT-ed The Endeavour (8th for ₹59,850).
