There was some uptick in action over Monday, and while some flagships registered overlays, several comfortably sailed through. Here is a complete recap of all that transpired yesterday.
Spartan Poker
Setting the virtual felts on fire was the Spartan Poker-hosted ₹18 Lakhs GTD Mega Stack. The ₹3,300 entry buy-in tourney logged in 544 entries, overlaying ₹1.68 Lakhs. After more than seven hours of rigorous play, ‘Esoteric’ came out on top to win ₹2.5 Lakhs following a three-way deal with Utkarsh ‘kidpokerNJ’ Vaish (runner-up for ₹2.45 Lakhs) and ‘pot-pan’ (3rd for ₹2.44 Lakhs). This happens to be Vaish`s second-best recorded score on Spartan Poker.
The other Tuesday marquee, the ₹7 Lakhs GTD The Race, obliterated its advertised guarantee as a crowd of 790 runners helped collect ₹7.35 Lakhs in prize money. Starting at 9.30 PM, it was 5.18 AM on Wednesday morning by the time the anonymous user ‘PB21’ came out on top to win ₹1.42 Lakhs. ‘UnityPro’ finished runner-up for ₹90,993.
PokerStars India
PokerStars India had two ₹5 Lakhs GTD tourneys running on the site on Tuesday.
The ₹2,750 entry buy-in Uppercut Mini mustered 209 entries, posting ₹5.23 Lakhs in the prize pool. Pranay ‘pranay1245’ Thawait outlasted the competition to win ₹85,460 (₹37,668 in prize money and ₹47,792 in bounties) following a three-way chop with ‘Sahni1509’, the runner-up pocketing ₹51,270 (₹35,605 in prize money and ₹15,665 in bounties) and ‘nandu_ev’ – the third-place finisher raking in ₹39,077 (₹35,605 in prize money and ₹9,531 in bounties). This was Thawait`s third tourney victory in October.
Thawait posted a second FT finish yesterday, placing seventh in the Bigstack Turbo for ₹4,237 to take his lifetime tally to ₹55.06 Lakhs, of which ₹44.35 Lakhs are his earnings this year.
The other marquee tourney, the ₹2,200 entry buy-in Sixth Sense logged in 243 entries, falling seven entries short of its ₹5 Lakhs prize pool guarantee. ‘Adwait Pol’ championed the tourney to win ₹71,223, after striking a three-way deal with ‘SirRampagealot’ (runner-up for ₹61,294) and ‘himkat@stars’ (3rd for ₹71,811). The victory also helped ‘Adwait Pol’ secure the top spot on the Week #3 leaderboard standing in the “The Star Of The Month” race.
Navigating his way through 83 entries, ‘MrBigSLick139’ took down the ₹1 Lakhs GTD Bigstack Turbo for ₹22,890. Divyanshu ‘divroxxx’ Patel banked ₹17,280 for their runner-up finish. All ITM finishers collected “Star of the Month” leaderboard points.
Adda52
The day`s featured tourney on Adda52, the ₹15 Lakhs GTD The Mint, registered 454 entries to generate a ₹15.89 Lakhs prize pool. Young Gun Arsh ‘bigggtymer’ Grover plowed through the field to win the title and ₹3.36 Lakhs in prize money. Sanket ‘blackcod’ Arora finished runner-up for ₹2.84 Lakhs.
Grover is the #2 ranked player in the country for several weeks now and was also the second player in our rankings to cross ₹3 Crores in earnings for the year. After the win, his yearly scores have neared ₹3.10 Crores with his lifetime tally touching ₹5.49 Crores.
The ₹3 Lakhs GTD Hexagram saw Raghav ‘Raghavv’ Siddalinga taking down the title for ₹62,750 following a three-way deal with ‘the_brave’ (runner-up for ₹58,253) and ‘vibhuiit17’ (3rd for ₹58,247). With an attendance of 148 entries, the tourney fell two entries short of its 150-player guarantee.
PokerBaazi
PokerBaazi’s Tuesday flagship, The Endeavour, logged in 419 entries falling ₹33,500 short of its ₹15 Lakhs prize pool guarantee. Mystery user ‘likeaboss85’ topped the reg-laden field to win ₹3.02 Lakhs. The first-ever MoneyMaker winner, Young Gun
Anujkumar ‘aatmaan’ Kodam came close to winning The Endeavour for the second time in a month, eventually placing runner-up for ₹2.11 Lakhs. The score pushed Kodam’s annual tally to ₹74.77, and his online record to ₹1.56 Crores.
The ₹3 Lakhs GTD Tuesday MonsterStack registered 136 entries to post a deficit of ₹28,000. Powering his way through the tourney was ‘april22g,’ who added ₹80,400 to their bankroll. Taliwagang ‘Meverick’ Jamir finished runner-up for ₹56,310.
