Wednesday turned out to be another value-driven day for the MTT players, with all sites barring Spartan Poker filling in significant overlays.

Guneet Kwatra was the star performer of the day as he championed Spartan Poker’s ₹23 Lakhs GTD Destiny for ₹6.11 Lakhs. Along with his second Destiny title, he also won himself a seat in the 18.0 SnG Finale.

The other top scorers were all familiar names, with PokerGuru Ambassador Laksh Pal Singh, Young Gun’s Shardul Parthasarathi & Siddharth Karia, and Sameer Tavanandi dominating the other Wednesday flagships.

 

Spartan Poker

Coming back after a week`s break, Spartan Poker`s Destiny 18.0 series crowned its ninth champion last night. The ₹5,500 entry buy-in tourney piled in a guarantee-smashing 461 entries. The Destiny 11.0 winner, Guneet ‘GeeKay’ Kwatra, ran past the crowded field to win the Destiny title for the second time, netting ₹6.11 Lakhs for his splendid run. Kwatra had previously won the Destiny in October 2019 for ₹5.52 Lakhs.

Kwatra has also booked himself a seat in the Destiny 18.0 SnG Finale set for March 28. He currently boasts of ₹4.70 Crores in recorded winnings (₹1.17 Crores in lifetime profits).

Young Gun Shardul ‘Faucet Failure’ Parthasarathi pulled out a smashing run last night, placing runner-up in both the Wednesday marquees on Spartan Poker. He added over ₹4.75 Lakhs in cumulative winnings, pushing his lifetime tally over ₹3.23 Crores.

PokerStars India’s Wednesday headliner, the ₹5 Lakhs GTD Night on Stars, registered 253 entries, overlaying ₹51,431. The tourney played down to a three-way FT deal, with Shivam ‘ruskypanda’ Baldota eventually winning the title for ₹66,262. ‘arora17’ placed runner-up for ₹76,475. Utsav ‘rannyOO6’ Taneja banked the lion`s share of the prize money worth ₹77,730 for his third-place finish. Utsav Taneja has been on a trailblazing run this month, having won three titles already in March. He currently sits on ₹1.74 Crores in lifetime online earnings (₹31.20 Lakhs in net profits).

The ₹1.75 Lakhs GTD Big Bubble Rush collected a guarantee-smashing ₹1.79 Lakhs prize pool after 179 runners signed-up for ₹1,100. The 9:30 PM tourney ended at 2:34 AM, with anonymous user ‘himanshu33’ walking away with the title and a ₹40,043 (₹14,660 in prize money, ₹25,383 in bounties) cash prize. ‘raghav1990’ banked ₹22,449 (₹14,660 in prize money, ₹7,789 in bounties) for his runner-up finish, courtesy of a heads-up deal.

Even the 10:30 PM tourney, the ₹1 Lakh GTD Bigstack Turbo, registered a commendable 92 entries, filling in a marginal 8,000 in overlays. ‘DeuceSeven09’ was the last player standing and collected ₹19,934, following a heads-up chop with Anmolraj ‘modi chai wala’ Singh Chawla (runner-up for ₹19,361). ‘DeuceSeven09’ also won the ₹1.5 Lakhs GTD Ultrasonic last night for ₹30,433, cashing over ₹50,000 on the site on Wednesday.

Improving upon his fourth-place finish in the Endeavour the day before, Sameer ‘Killersam’ Tavanandi went the distance last night, adding ₹2.35 Lakhs to his bankroll. He now has ₹65.66 Lakhs in lifetime online winnings (₹17.82 Lakhs in net profits).

PokerGuru Ambassador Laksh ‘boomtlt23’ Pal Singh has been the cynosure of the online MTT community ever since he won the IOPC – The Crown in January. He has been the #1 ranked player on the annual leaderboard standings for three consecutive weeks and was only temporarily dislodged from the top seat by Manish Lakhotia. However, his phenomenal run last night has helped him regain his lead at the top. The PokerGuru Staking member finished runner-up in two Wednesday night flagships, netting almost ₹3.83 Lakhs. Singh sits on ₹1.07 Crores in annual winnings and ₹6.29 Crores in lifetime online earnings.

It was a busy Wednesday on Adda52, with the site running the third starting flight of the ₹1 Crore GTD Full House. Day 1C registered 181 entries, taking the total entry count in the event to 445 (Day 1A – 114, Day 1B – 150, and Day 1C – 181). After the stipulated 29 ten-minute levels of play, only 17 runners survived through to Day 2. Bagging the day`s top stack was Abhishek ‘abhiraja’ Rajagopal (511,290), with Avinash ‘avinkon’ Koneru (418,042) and Prashant ‘JAINPRASHANT’ Jain (274,035) carrying forward the top three stacks of the flight.

The Wednesday night flagship, the ₹15 Lakhs GTD Maverick, registered 638 entries, filling in ₹48,550 in overlays. The top 72 places got paid, with ‘lucidity1729’ banking the ₹3.75 Lakhs first-place cash prize. PokerGuru Ambassador and yesterday’s The Pride runner-up, Laksh ‘boomtilt23’ Pal Singh, scored ₹2.18 Lakhs for his second runner-up finish of the day.

The FTS 2.0 Main Event champion Siddharth ‘skaria1’ Karia was the last player standing and won ₹1.09 Lakhs. Sandy ‘Narcos’ Lamba placed runner-up for ₹65,075. This happens to be Karia’s second title victory this week, boosting his lifetime tally north of ₹3.12 Crores.

The former Millionaire champion Guneet ‘GeeKay’ Kwatra was the last player standing and won ₹6.11 Lakhs. He eliminated Young Gun Shardul ‘Faucet Failure’ Parthasarathi (runner-up for ₹3.80 Lakhs) in second place to become the ninth player to qualify for the Destiny SnG Finale on March 28.

Kwatra currently sits on ₹4.7 Crores in lifetime online winnings.

Running hot, Singh went on to place second in Adda52’s Maverick for another ₹2.18 Lakhs last night. After these scores, Singh is back on top of the yearly leaderboard with a booming ₹6.29 Crores in lifetime online earnings.

The 8 PM tourney registered 241 entries, filling in a hefty ₹1.56 Lakhs overlay shortfall.

He ultimately placed runner-up to mystery user ‘DAN21,’ the latter banking ₹1.38 Lakhs for the win. The champion now has ₹2.05 Lakhs in recorded winnings on Spartan Poker, with ₹63,865 in net profits.

Parthasarathi collected a runner-up payday of ₹87,836. Considering his runner-up finish in the Destiny and a deep run in the Maverick, Parthasarathi added over ₹4.75 Lakhs in total winnings, pushing his lifetime tally north of ₹3.23 Crores.

Spartan Poker regular ‘borntrouble’ (anonymity requested) picked up the first of his two FT scores of the day in the Wednesday Vibes, placing third for ₹65,842. He went on to finish eighth in the Destiny for ₹55,320.
