Spartan Poker
Monday reigned in another eventful day of FTS 3.0 events on Spartan Poker. Four events ran yesterday, including Day 1D of The Feast and the FTS #8 Sunday Special FT.
The ₹60 Lakhs GTD FTS #8 Sunday Special FT was hands down the day`s star attraction. Unfortunately, the FT action wasn`t live-streamed as initially planned. Nevertheless, it was a memorable Monday grind for Arun ‘Rohini Sharma’ Karthik. The former Destiny Jr Finale 2.0 champion was sixth in chips on the eight-handed FT and pulled off a fantastic run to win the FTS Gold Medallion for ₹11.65 Lakhs. Haider ‘Callmebabe’ Madraswala almost won his second FTS title at the series, with a runner-up finish for ₹7.38 Lakhs.
Despite the near-miss early in his Monday session, Haider Madraswala championed PokerBaazi’s The Big Show later in the day for ₹1.65 Lakhs, lapping up ₹9.06 Lakhs overall. Dhiraj Lakhotia placed runner-up for ₹1.16 Lakhs.
Haider Madraswala’s top scores include:
> 2nd in ₹FTS #8 Sunday Special for ₹11.65 Lakhs
> 1st in The Big Show for ₹1.65 Lakhs
The FTS #8 Sunday Special had registered 594 participants on Sunday, overlaying ₹60,000, and the top 55 places were paid.
Day 1D of the ₹1 Crore GTD FTS – The Feast drew 210 players, and only 24 survived the day’s onslaught. Abhijeet ‘TheSupremeOne’ Kumar (243,130), Shrey ‘Kingsb30’ Baj (116,490) and Sreeharsha ‘yUDdam’ Boneni (113,144) topped the day-end chip counts.
OVERLAY ALERT: The event has registered only 1,032 entries so far across four starting flights. There will likely be a landslide overlay in the event as it needs another 3,968 runners to enter the six remaining flights to break even.
The Monday FTS headliner, the ₹25 Lakhs GTD FTS #11 Double Stack, attracted a guarantee-surpassing 635-entry field, making for a ₹25.40 Lakhs prize pool. The FTS – The Feast Day 1D chip leader Abhijeet ‘TheSupremeOne’ Kumar (9th for ₹46,228) bubbled the FT. Today, the eight-handed final table convenes at 5 PM and will be live-streamed from 6 PM onwards across various social media platforms, including PokerGuru`s Facebook page.
Archit ‘Archit789’ Saraogi (11,180,599) holds a commanding chip lead on the FT and is the only player who will be returning with over 10 million in chips. Online phenom Mohammad ‘Cupid stunt’ Azhar (3,732,583) is a very distant second in chips, but the chip deficit won`t matter on his day. The user ‘Strangler’ (3,457,000), PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish ‘Donkey 07’ Munot (1,619,664), Dharambir ‘Baba1981’ Yadav (1,380,744), and Eshan ‘Ekapoor’ Kapoor (693,193) are others in contention for the FTS Gold Medallion.
The more prominent of the two other FTS events that played down to a winner last night was the ₹11 Lakhs GTD FTS #12. The ₹1,650 entry buy-in event clocked in 749 entries, collecting ₹11.10 Lakhs in the prize pool. The final two players agreed to a deal with last month’s The Millionaire runner-up finisher Sachin ‘durrred’ Sharma collecting the FTS Silver Medallion and ₹1.79 Lakhs. The user ‘chiku16’ placed runner-up for ₹1.71 Lakhs.
Sunday’s FTS #7 champion PokerGuru Ambassador Shashank ‘reconnecting’ Desai won a second FTS title last night. He overcame the 817-entry field in the ₹6 Lakhs GTD FTS #10 to collect ₹1.25 Lakhs, defeating ‘Sanu15’ (2nd for ₹78,693) heads-up.
