October is one of the few months this year when tournament regs are getting a bit of a respite from grinding out a massive guaranteed series. Nevertheless, the weekly flagships have kept them busy, especially Spartan Poker’s Daily Poker Marathon – Champion’s Week and The Millionaire that commenced another edition last night.

Grabbing the Thursday headlines for the second consecutive time was none other than the first-ever IOPC- The Crown champion Harshit Sanghi, who went back-to-back by defending the title in Spartan Poker’s The Big Deal. He’d won this tournament for ₹7.55 Lakhs last week and lapped up an even better ₹10 Lakhs for repeating the feat. Mitesh Kumar Gupta placed runner-up for ₹5.80 Lakhs, posting his third big score of the week.

The Young Guns dominated most of the day`s other headline events. The most prominent of them was Sanat Mehrotra, who won Adda52`s Godfather for the third time last night for ₹6.20 Lakhs. Vinayak Bajaj was in the reckoning in both the Adda52 marquees and posted runner-up finishes in the Godfather and the Monster Turbo 5L, adding ₹5.04 Lakhs to his tally.

Young Gun Sahil Chutani was the biggest winner on PokerStars India. The recent INCOOP Highroller KO champion took down the Highroller title for ₹2.52 Lakhs, while Harsh Dembla finished runner-up for ₹1.96 Lakhs.

Adda52’s Monster Turbo 5L was taken down by the first-ever Game Changer champion Prashanth Sekar for ₹1.35 Lakhs. He made away with ₹2.12 Lakhs last night.
