After several weeks of relative quiet, it`s the busy season again for online MTT players, with the ₹8.50 Crores GTD Summer Celebration Series getting underway on Spartan Poker (and partner sites BLITZPOKER and PokerHigh) yesterday.

The long-time circuit regular Jasven Saigal topped the Friday charts after taking down the SCS headliner of the day, the ₹35 Lakhs GTD SCS #7 – High Friday Celebration, for ₹7.40 Lakhs. PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish Munot collected ₹4.98 Lakhs in second place.

Nishaanth Shanmughasundaram was the last player standing in Adda52’s The Ballers and won the title for ₹6.01 Lakhs. Ravindra Arikeri was the other trailblazer. The doctor-cum-poker reg crushed the Adda52 marquees, pocketing ₹4.63 Lakhs from his runner-up finish in The Ballers (₹3.64 Lakhs) and winning the Friday Bounty (₹1.06 Lakhs).

Ashish Munot wasn’t the only PokerGuru Ambassador who made an impressive run last night. Young Gun Vivek Singh was another standout winner with ₹4.70 Lakhs in total winnings, making it an eventful Friday for PokerGuru Staking. He took down the SCS #5 – High for ₹2.56 Lakhs and chopped PokerStars India’s Super Highroller for ₹2.04 Lakhs.

Sumit Sapra won PokerBaazi’s The Weekly Highroller for the second time last night for ₹4.27 Lakhs, while Vaibhav Sharma came second for ₹4.11 Lakhs.

The #2 ranked player of the month, Young Gun Ujjwal Narwal, shipped PokerStars India’s Super Highroller (On-time Rake Refund) for ₹2.18 Lakhs, following a heads-up chop with the SCS #5 High champion Vivek Singh.
