The regs were in full attendance on the domestic felts yesterday, and most of the day’s big-ticket events surpassed their advertised guarantees. Day 2 of PokerBaazi’s 1000X Series 2.0 had five events on the tap, even as we’re looking forward to the fifth edition of PokerStars India’s ₹3+ Crores GTD Winter Series taking off tomorrow, January 5.

Karan Malhotra stormed into the Tuesday headlines on the back of three ITM finishes, rounding out a hefty ₹4.54 Lakhs in cashes. Adding his third title in a week, Malhotra captured Spartan Poker’s Mega Stack for ₹3.01 Lakhs. Vivek Singh came in second in the event to collect a ₹2.72 Lakhs payout.

‘Darksider’ (anonymity requested) emerged as the single-biggest scorer on Tuesday, collecting ₹4.42 Lakhs in Spartan Poker’s Tuesday High Roller, which they shipped for the second time. Sunday’s Roller Coaster champion, Ankit Wadhawan, finished second for ₹3.05 Lakhs.

The IOPC June 2022 The Crown third-place finisher Neeraj Sattawat drove up the Tuesday action on PokerBaazi, shipping the site’s The Endeavour for a site-best ₹4.21 Lakhs (won ₹4.26 Lakhs overall). Long time reg Vishnu Khandelwal finished runner-up for ₹2.51 Lakhs.

The Darjeeling-based pro, Manish Lakhotia, followed up his last week’s Wednesday High Roller win with another title run, shipping Adda52’s The Mint for ₹3.52 Lakhs, adding to ₹3.97 Lakhs in Tuesday’s winnings.

PokerBaazi user ‘akash33776’ captured the day’s biggest 1000X title, the 1000X#12 Tuesday Prime, for ₹3.06 Lakhs, following a four-way deal with ‘poker_lord’ (2nd for ₹2.25 Lakhs), ‘RockingstarYash’ (3rd for ₹2.50 Lakhs), and ‘Kaikeyi’ (4th for ₹2.16 Lakhs).

Prashant Baghmar (Won the 1000X#11 for ₹1.16 Lakhs), Shadab Siddiqui (Won the 1000X#13 for ₹1.06 Lakhs), and Varun Gulati (Won 1000X#10 for ₹91,000) also bagged the 1000X titles on the site.

Last Thursday’s (7-Max) SPRINT champion Gokul Raj reeled in his second title in a week, taking down PokerStars India’s Turbo Masters (8-Max) for ₹1 Lakh, adding to a Tuesday haul of ₹1.69 Lakhs.
