Daily Majors: Khandelwal, Kochhar & Jain Dominate the Monday Marquees

It was a slow Monday as usual, and overlays were the trend across platforms, the only exception being Spartan Poker’s ₹10 Lakhs GTD Recharge. Here’s the quick recap!

Spartan Poker

The biggest draw on Spartan Poker was the ₹10 Lakhs GTD ReCharge that attracted 544 entries, and the top 47 places took a stab at the ₹10.88 Lakhs prize pool. The winner emerged in mystery user ‘KidPoker2412,’ who walked away with ₹1.83 Lakhs following a heads-up deal with Parth ‘PufferFish’ Aggarwal (runner-up for ₹1.63 Lakhs). The only other known player on the FT was Vishal ‘Bhaii9’ Marwaha (9th for ₹21,760).

The ₹5.50 Lakhs GTD The Flash brought together 529 entries to leave an overlay of ₹21,000, and the top 55 places boarded the money bus. MTT pro Armaan ‘space ace’ Kochhar kept his hot run going for a third consecutive week as he came out on top to win ₹1.06 Lakhs with ‘UnityPro’ finishing runner-up for ₹67,650. This is the 20th tourney Kochhar has won in October! It turned out to be another fantastic day for Kochhar as he FT-ed at least four other tourneys raking in well over ₹1.5 Lakhs.

PokerStars India

PokerStars India’s Monday mainstay, the ₹5 Lakhs GTD Eliminator Progressive KO, pulled in 259 challengers, overlaying ₹1.11 Lakhs. After over seven hours of intense action, Karan ‘999AykA999’ Jain navigated his way to the top and won ₹1.03 Lakhs after prevailing over Sandeep ‘effuno007’ Varma RS (runner-up for ₹73,936) in the heads-up play. Umesh ‘dhondu.chilll’ Sharma (3rd for ₹44,522), Devvrat ‘bhasm@sur1’ Arya (4th for ₹34,032), and Akshay ‘IamUltron’ Dhingra (6th for ₹18,104) posted FT scores.

The ₹1 Lakh GTD Bigstack Turbo registered 76 entries to leave an overlay of ₹24,000, and the top 13 places got paid. It took the anonymous ‘PepperChicken’ less than four hours to take down the title for ₹22,434 after striking a heads-up deal with ‘robben1309’ (runner-up for ₹21,303).

Adda52

The Monday flagship tourney on Adda52, the ₹10 lakhs GTD Inception, gathered a player pool of 273 entrants who ponied up the ₹3,500 entry buy-in, and the site had to fill in an overlay shortfall of ₹1.26 Lakhs. After six and a half hours of intense action, the mystery user ‘beherapunya2111’ claimed the title and ₹2.43 Lakhs in cash prize with ‘funky_srs’ placing runner-up for ₹1.71 Lakhs. Anish ‘cajufeni’ Juwarkar (3rd for ₹1.16 Lakhs), Amit ‘dhallamit’ Dhall (5th got ₹57,500), Anuj ‘chocha’ Manocha (6th for ₹42,500), and Himanshu ‘bagdwalhimanshu’ Bagdwal (7th for ₹32,500) FT-ed the tourney.

The ₹3 Lakhs GTD Hexagram clocked in a modest field of 120 challengers who signed-up for ₹2,200 to leave an overlay worth ₹60,000, and the top 13 places walked past the money line. Outlasting the competition was ‘sayal11,’ who earned a payday worth ₹77,485 following a heads-up deal with Pankaj ‘Pok3rking’ Nanda (runner-up for ₹65,015).

PokerBaazi

Headlining PokerBaazi`s Monday schedule was the ₹10 Lakhs GTD The Bout. The tourney experienced an overlay shortfall of ₹42,500 on the back of 383 participants (217 unique entries and 166 re-entries), and the top 45 places finished ITM. After more than eight hours of non-stop play, Chirag ‘BadSirck’ Khandelwal raced past the competition to win the title and a personal-best ₹2.10 Lakhs. Nitin ‘philhermouth’ Arora came in second for ₹1.47 Lakhs. Mohit ‘thejoker’ Mehta (3rd for ₹94,500) and bracelet winner Aditya ‘gangajal’ Sushant (4th for ₹70,000) FT-ed the tourney.

The first starting flight of the ₹2 Lakhs GTD PBBS#4 Main Event logged in 142 runners, and only 14 players advanced through to Day 2. Prateek ‘DABANGG2’ Sharma (446,000), ‘Hiccup03’ (267,000), and ‘Harry1993’ (168,000) bagged the top three stacks of the day.

In the ₹2 Lakhs GTD Monday MegaStack, ‘p10babu’ topped the competition to win ₹53,600 even as ‘Sarousathi3’ finished runner-up for ₹37,540.
