With the WPT Online India series and the FTS now in the rear-view mirror, the MTT action has dropped significantly. Tuesday saw most of the big-ticket tourneys registering significant overlays, with the Diwali Rush series on PokerStars India being the only prominent MTT series currently underway.

Here is a quick recap of all that transpired yesterday.

Spartan Poker

Setting the virtual felts on fire was the Spartan Poker-hosted ₹20 Lakhs GTD Mega Stack. The ₹3,300 entry buy-in tourney offered the biggest prize pool guarantee of the day. Still, with a turnout of 580 entries, the tourney recorded a sizable ₹2.60 Lakhs overlay. It took a little over seven hours of play for a winner to emerge, with ‘vysh4987’ walking away with the title for a site-best ₹3.69 Lakhs in prize money. The player now has ₹9.19 Lakhs in recorded earnings on Spartan Poker. ‘legendof91’ collected ₹2.42 Lakhs for their runner-up finish.

The other Tuesday night marquee on Spartan Poker, the ₹7 Lakhs GTD The Race, smashed its advertised guarantee as 471 runners helped collect ₹7.07 Lakhs in the prize pool. Starting out at 9.30 PM, the tourney came to a close at 4.21 AM on Wednesday, with Utkarsh ‘kidpokerNJ’ Vaish taking down the title for ₹1.19 Lakhs (after a four-way deal). Vaish’s lifetime tally now reflects ₹69.25 Lakhs in recorded earnings. ‘vrockz’ (runner-up for ₹81,980), ‘Twenty Four’ (3rd for ₹81,434), and ‘Gdsa’ (4th for ₹78,197) were the other beneficiaries of the deal.
