It’s around the mid-week that action starts picking up the pace, and that’s precisely what we saw across all the major poker networks last night.
Spartan Poker
Spartan Poker was the platform of choice for the majority of the players as it offered an extended line-up of high-value tourneys as part of its ongoing Spartan Super Series (SSS)!
One of the signature tourneys at Spartan Poker, the SSS #40 Destiny ₹45 Lakhs GTD, attracted 934 entries (408 unique, 199 re-entries, and 327 rebuys) last night. This meant that the ₹46.70 Lakhs collected was enough to blow away the advertised guarantee, and the top 85 places earned a payday. MTT reg Dhinesh ‘Kendralust’ Kumar took down the tourney and collected the heaviest paycheck worth ₹11.67 Lakhs, a new career-best score for this former Millionaire LITE champion. The other big story was his heads-up opponent, Young Gun Gaurav ‘mozzie17’ Sood (runner-up for ₹7 Lakhs), who has kept his foot down on the throttle collecting scores ever since turning pro, and is fast approaching the ₹4 crore-mark in lifetime online winnings!
Spartan Poker’s SSS #42 Destiny Jr. 5 Lakhs GTD was another prominent event last night that logged in 523 entries (256 uniques, 61 re-entries and 206 re-buys) to generate a mouth-watering ₹7.84 Lakhs prize pool. Taking down the tourney was none other than lawyer turned poker pro and our latest Young Gun Anmol ‘Anzzzzz’ Mehta. The player defeated Annkur ‘CYCLONE 1121’ Agarwal heads-up. The 25-year-old has over ₹1.5 Crores in recorded online winnings with a personal-best score of ₹14.91 Lakhs. Some of his recent exploits at Spartan Poker include winning the ReCharge ₹18 Lakhs GTD and finishing runner-up in the SSS#47 Destiny ₹45 Lakhs GTD.
The other big-ticket tourney on the site, SSS #41 Mega Freeze ₹6 Lakhs GTD, saw a field of 213 entries. It was Dhawal ‘Pokerpro5553’ Bagaria who walked away with the top prize worth ₹1.35 Lakhs after defeating ‘pokergambit’ (2nd for ₹90,994) in the heads-up play.
PokerBaazi
For the third day in a row, PokerBaazi scores are not being reported as the site continues to remain under maintenance. But there is finally good news as PokerBaazi has announced that the site will be resuming regular operations today.
We have received an update from our tech team. This unfortunately requires more time for completion. The downtime will be over at 1 PM tomorrow post which you will have access to all cash games, tournaments and your dashboard.

Adda52’s Maverick ₹10 Lakhs had a fantastic outing, as 657 entrants (357 unique entries and 350 re-entries) helped smash the advertised guarantee and the top 72 places shared the ₹16.08 Lakhs prize pool. Racing past the competition was Manas ‘manashnayak’ Nayak, who fired three bullets in the tourney and walked away with the top prize won ₹3.69 Lakhs. Praveen ‘pk786’ Gattani (runner-up for ₹2.13 Lakhs) was the other top scorer.
PokerStars India
Headlining the Wednesday run of tourneys on the site was the Night on Stars ₹10 Lakhs GTD. With a turnout of 268 entries (199 unique and 69 re-entries), the tourney was unable to ride past the break-even point. Well-known circuit reg Myron ‘khAAbib’ Pereira extending his winning run championed the tourney to win ₹1.91 Lakhs after defeating ‘shrekk147’ (runner-up for ₹1.40 Lakhs) heads-up. With this score, Pereira has almost touched ₹1 Crore in recorded online winnings!
The going wasn`t smooth at the other marquee tourney, the Big Bubble Rush ₹5 Lakhs GTD, that had to be canceled due to a technical issue. According to the tourney lobby, each of the 16 registered players got their ₹2,750 buy-in refunded under the site’s full roll-back policy.
