Wednesday saw all the weekly flagships returning for their scheduled run, alongside PokerDangal’s ₹10 Lakhs GTD Dangal Showdown. Let’s take a look at the day’s exciting tournament action and the standout performers.

Spartan Poker

The ₹5,500 entry buy-in Destiny returned on schedule at 8 PM on Wednesday to sound off the flagship tournament’s 17th edition. With 541 entries (265 unique, 103 re-entries, and 173 rebuys), the event garnered a hefty ₹27.05 Lakhs prize pool. It took the former Adda52 pro Kunal ‘TiltAtma’ Patni almost seven-and-half hours to come out on top and snag the title for ₹5.40 Lakhs, following a three-way deal with Young Gun Arsh ‘BigggTymeR’ Grover and Jasven Saigal.

The banker-turned-poker pro has an accomplished scorecard of live and online performances and most recently won the Virtual Poker League (VPL) mega-finale for his team Deccan Aces. Only 10 days back, he had captured the ₹15 Lakhs GTD GPS #44 Titan Stack for ₹3 Lakhs. This latest victory has sent his lifetime online tally soaring to ₹3.14 Crores.

Grover, who had championed Adda52’s The Mint on Tuesday for ₹3.36 Lakhs, collected a runner-up paycheque of ₹4.51, while Saigal finished 3rd for ₹3.94 Lakhs.

Sagar ‘StrangeplayChoudhury (6th for ₹90,675) and Siddarth ‘PeterPunter’ Singhvi (7th for ₹67,625) also FT-ed the Destiny!

In the ₹880 entry buy-in ₹2.5 Lakhs GTD Monster Stack, ‘Mr.blue1205’ outran the 333-strong field to win ₹56,344.

PokerStars India

PokerStars India has set a routine of running two ₹5 Lakhs GTD tourneys almost daily! And reigning supreme over both of last night`s marquees was none other than Armaan ‘Armaan007111’ Kochhar! The ₹1,750 entry buy-in Night on Stars took off at 7.30 PM to attract 263 entries (167 unique and 96 re-entries). The tourney fell ₹81,567 short of breaking even, and it was 2.24 AM in the wee hours of Thursday when Kochhar defeated his heads-up rival Nitin Checkshoveit’ Arora (runner-up for ₹70,499) to win ₹95,585.

The rising poker talent has been in phenomenal form recently. If Kochhar was ranked #3 on the weekly leaderboard last week, he had a great start to the week after booking a super-profitable Sunday, where he won the ₹25 Lakhs GTD Adda52 Millions for ₹6.86 Lakhs. He also championed the ₹10 Lakhs GTD Inception for 2.08 Lakhs the very next day.

It`s hard to digest, but Kochhar outdid his recent exploits last night as he won not one – not two – but three flagship tourneys. Running alongside the Night on Stars was the Big Bubble Rush that started at 9.30 PM. This was a ₹2,750 buy-in bounty tournament that overlayed ₹1 Lakhs after only 160 players registered to play. Kochhar rode past the field and his heads-up rival ‘rebirth2018’ (2nd for ₹56,971) to claim the title. With ₹57,611 in prize money and another ₹51,674 in bounties, he pocketed ₹1.10 Lakhs in the event.

Evidently not done yet, Kochhar also rode to the top in Adda52’s Maverick to add another fat payout of ₹3.07 Lakhs to his tally. Three title wins on a single night boosted Kochhar’s scorecard by ₹5.13 Lakhs, and he now boasts an impressive ₹2.86 Crores in recorded online winnings.

Arora, who placed runner-up in the Night on Stars, also final tabled the Big Bubble Rush, where he finished sixth for ₹15,179.

In the late-night ₹1 Lakhs GTD Bigstack Turbo, Gurpal twizelll’ Singh outran the 99-player field to win ₹22,373. The final 17 finishers earned payouts, adding crucial points to their standings in the PokerStars India “Star of the Month” Leaderboard.

Adda52

The mid-week action is always intense on Adda52, and Wednesday had the popular ₹15 Lakhs GTD Maverick coming back for another weekly run. The ₹2,500 entry buy-in tourney commenced as scheduled at 8 PM and witnessed a better turnout for the second consecutive week after bringing in 613 runners. While this wasn’t enough to meet the prize pool guarantee, the ₹1.05 Lakhs shortfall was a significant improvement over the ₹1.44 Lakhs overlay the tourney had to fill in last week.

It took more than eight hours to find a champion and walking away with the glory, and a hattrick was Armaan ‘tandavamKochhar. Kochhar outran a stacked FT and eventually pipped ‘Powershell (runner-up for ₹2.92 Lakhs) heads-up to win ₹3.07 Lakhs in prize money.

Arya was another standout MTT performer last night as he also placed fourth in the ₹4 Lakhs GTD La Luna for ₹37,917, a tournament he had championed last week. He ran deep in PokerBaazi’s ₹10 Lakhs GTD The Pride as well, placing eighth for ₹30,252 – in all earning almost ₹2.17 Lakhs last night.

Rising atop the 272-player field in the ₹4 Lakhs GTD La Luna was Aarchit Aarchit’ Dhadwal, who padded his bankroll by ₹98,069 after beating Shivam Kumar barbarik12’ Singh (2nd for ₹87,054) heads-up. The tourney got hit by an overlay of ₹52,920 and paid out 27 places.

Racing past the competition and the 8-Max FT was Monish Monish1221’ Annthem, who took down the title for a personal-best ₹2.27 Lakhs.
