Wednesday night was choc-a-bloc with action, and a mix of known and relatively lesser-known players championed the day`s flagship events.
One of the standout winners at Spartan Poker`s FTS 2.0 in March, Kushagra Mehta, bagged the top score of the day for winning Spartan Poker’s Destiny for ₹8.17 Lakhs.
Debapriya ‘debapriya_12345’ Manna (Won Maverick for ₹4.33 Lakhs), Amar B Iyer (won The Pride for ₹2.65 Lakhs), and Manish Lakhotia (3rd in Maverick for ₹1.59 Lakhs) made top finishes in the other flagships last night.

Spartan Poker’s Wednesday mainstay, the ₹26 Lakhs GTD Destiny 19.0, made a smashing comeback after a weeklong gap on account of The Millionaire Series 2.0. The ₹5,500 entry buy-in event roped in 629 runners to post a guarantee-crushing ₹31.45 Lakhs in the prize pool. Kushagra ‘The Unconventional’ Mehta championed the tourney to collect ₹8.17 Lakhs with TLB crusher Bhanu ‘spectre’ Prakash KC (he placed second in The Millionaire Series leaderboard standings) placing runner-up for ₹5.03 Lakhs.
Kushagra Mehta has been a revelation this year. The player went on a tear at the FTS 2.0 on Spartan Poker in March with two runner-up finishes and a third-place score, netting ₹36.64 Lakhs overall! The Destiny score has helped him touch ₹62.19 Lakhs in lifetime winnings.
The other Wednesday night marquee, the ₹7 Lakhs GTD Wednesday Vibes, saw 696 entrants dishing out the ₹1,650 entry buy-in to play. The event ran for almost eight hours, and the top 103 places got a share of the ₹10.44 Lakhs prize pool. The anonymous user ‘rsh7777’ clinched the title and the ₹2.02 Lakhs cash prize that came with it. ‘Captain Falcon’ finished runner-up for ₹1.27 Lakhs.
PokerStars India
PokerStars India`s ₹6 Lakhs GTD Night on Stars experienced a ₹11,400 overlay setback after 327 challengers signed up for ₹1,950. After over seven hours of non-stop action, the user ‘raghav1990’ ran past the competition to win the title and ₹1.16 Lakhs. Ranked #12 on the annual leaderboard, PokerGuru Ambassador Devvrat ‘bhasm@sur1’ Arya placed runner-up for ₹63,141.
The ₹2 Lakhs GTD Big Bubble Rush logged in 238 entries, and 24 places took a bite out of the ₹2.38 Lakhs prize pool. The winner emerged in ‘kalkiom,’ who earned a payday worth ₹48,025 after besting ‘jul1u592’ (runner-up for ₹26,212) in heads-up play.
PokerBaazi
The star attraction on PokerBaazi, the ₹3,850 entry buy-in ₹10 Lakhs GTD The Pride, gathered 361 entrants, and 45 among them got a piece of the ₹12.64 Lakhs prize pool. Amar ‘PsykoEko’ B Iyer won the lion`s share of the prize money worth ₹2.65 Lakhs after eliminating Vaibhav ‘WakhraSwagNi’ Sharma (runner-up for ₹1.86 Lakhs) in second place.
Amar Iyer, the former Mega Stack champion, had finished runner-up in the same event three weeks back and breached the ₹1.47 Crore mark in lifetime online earnings after last night’s win.
The ₹1.5 Lakhs GTD 6-Max Holdem BOOST DST has become a hit among the MTT regs, and last night again, the 9 PM tourney accumulated almost 2X its advertised guarantee from an entry field of 287 runners. The top 36 places boarded the money bus, with Taliwabang ‘Meverick’ Jamir walking away with the title and a ₹63,400 payday. Arun ‘vazharmorghulis’ Sriram placed runner-up for ₹44,490.
“AlwaysAhead” (Won PLO Boost Monster ₹1 LAC GTD for ₹39,400) & “rektace” (Won Turbo ₹1.5 Lac GTD for ₹57,550) took down the other late-night marquees on the site.
PokerDangal
PokerDangal’s flagship Dangal Value Series (DVS) – targeting the low to mid-stakes players – got underway on May 11. The showstopper ₹20 Lakhs GTD DVS Main Event kicked off yesterday, with the first of five starting flights recording 121 entries. 16 players advanced through to Day 2. ‘Salazar’ (184,544), Abhiroop ‘abhiroopron’ Gupta (147,943), and ‘BetaSharma’ (141,680) bagged the top stacks on Day 1A.

Adda52`s ₹15 Lakhs GTD Maverick made for the second biggest prize pool on Wednesday. The ₹2,500 entry buy-in event had 761 entrants joining the action, and 82 places were paid a share of the ₹17.31 Lakhs prize pool. Debapriya ‘debapriya_12345’ Manna walked away with the title and a personal-best ₹4.32 Lakhs. The former Mega Suits champion ‘filmyjuwari’ placed runner-up for ₹2.32 Lakhs. The #3 ranked player on the annual leaderboard, Manish ‘newkidpoker’ Lakhotia, had a close run for his third Maverick title. The Siliguri-based pro came third for ₹1.59 Lakhs.
The ₹4 Lakhs GTD La Luna found a winner in ‘mj129,’ who pocketed ₹1.43 Lakhs. The user ‘sourab14248908’ came second for ₹86,713.

Kushagra ‘The Unconventional’ Mehta, who had grabbed the headlines at the FTS 2.0 in March for making three FT finishes in a week, championed the tourney to collect ₹8.18 Lakhs for his outright victory. Spartan Poker regular Bhanu ‘spectre’ Prakash KC secured a runner-up finish worth ₹5.03 Lakhs.
After the win, Kushagra Mehta’s lifetime earnings have touched ₹62.19 Lakhs (₹24 Lakhs in net profits). He also booked himself a seat in the Destiny 19.0 SnG Finale set for June 13 (9 PM).
Ajay ‘ajay2706’ Saharan (3rd for ₹2.91 Lakhs), two-time The Millionaire champion Yudhishter ‘McFly’ Jaswal (5th for ₹1.32 Lakhs), the #1 ranked player of the year, PokerGuru Ambassador Laksh ‘LuckyBhai$’ Pal Singh (7th for ₹78,625), and Young Gun Shardul ‘Faucet Failure’ Parthasarathi (8th for ₹69,190) FT-ed the tourney.
PokerGuru Ambassador Nadeem ‘blindgame’ Basha bubbled the FT in ninth place for ₹59,755.

‘Salazar’ (184,544), Abhiroop ‘abhiroopron’ Gupta (147,943), and ‘BetaSharma’ (141,680) rounded out the top three stacks of the day.
Prashant ‘kingslayer’ Jha (106,972) was another known name on the top 10 chip counts list.
