It`s been an overlay carnage for the online operators this week, and Wednesday brought little respite. Almost all the flagships registered significant overlays barring Spartan Poker`s Destiny.

Here`s a quick recap of the Wednesday action.

Spartan Poker

Leading the charge on Spartan Poker was the ₹25 Lakhs GTD Destiny. The ₹5,500 buy-in event logged in 558 entries, collecting a profitable ₹27.90 Lakhs in the prize pool. The top 60 places got paid. The lion`s share was pocketed by the former Millionaire United champion Manish ‘thekid’ Lakhotia, who walked away with ₹6.27 Lakhs after striking a heads-up deal with ‘BiggBang’ (runner-up for ₹5.41 Lakhs).

With this win, Lakhotia has become the third player to book a seat in the Destiny 16.0 SnG Finale. He has crossed ₹1.45 Crores in winnings for the year, with his recorded online tally touching ₹3.62 Crores.

Day 1B of the ₹10 Lakhs GTD Velocity attracted 161 entries. After the stipulated four hours of play, only 16 hopefuls made it across to Day 2. Prashant ‘Namefeme’ Kumar (261,587), ‘Aatishbaaz’ (137,114) and ‘NITINABD’ (116,235) bagged the top stacks of the day.

The ₹3.5 Lakhs GTD Mega Freeze was championed by Anurag ‘Norman Bates’ Srivastava, who won ₹89,425 after defeating ‘resuror’ (runner-up for ₹61,600) heads-up for the title. The event experienced an overlay of ₹50,000 on the back of 100 entries. Srivastava, a former IOPC Main Event champion, has been featured in the top 20 of the annual leaderboard for a majority of 2020, and he has already accumulated ₹1.87 Crores in earnings this year.

PokerBaazi

The featured tourney on PokerBaazi was the ₹10 Lakhs GTD The Pride. Sporting a ₹3,300 buy-in, the event pulled in 324 entries, falling ₹28,000 short of the guarantee. Outlasting the reg-laden field was none other than Banmanlang ‘bml2012’ Warr Lyndem, who walked away with ₹2.21 Lakhs first-place prize money, after besting the formidable Arsh ‘Button_Hai_Bro’ Grover (runner-up for ₹1.55 Lakhs) heads-up.

Lyndem had a blistering run on PokerBaazi last night as he also won the ₹3 Lakhs GTD Wednesday SuperStack. Here he defeated Abhishek ‘ketchup’ Kumar (runner-up for ₹57,700) in the final showdown to collect ₹82,400 in prize money.

Lyndem collected over ₹3 Lakhs from the two title victories, pushing his online scorecard over ₹1.12 Crores.
