Tuesday was a lot more exciting as compared to Monday’s lackluster action. With Spartan Poker’s Final Table Series (FTS) hosting its first three tournaments and Adda52’s WPT Online India (WPTOI) series continuing with its guarantee-busting volley of events, it turned out to be an action-packed day on the virtual felts.

PokerGuru Ambassador Madhav Gupta bagged his second WPT title to emerge as the biggest winner of the day!

Here are the highlights.


Spartan Poker

India Poker Championship’s inaugural Final Table Series (FTS) hosted three tournaments yesterday. The opening day headliner was the ₹40 Lakhs GTD FTS#2 Kick-Off that commenced at 8 PM, and by the time late registrations ended, 797 entries had already signed up. The site had to fill in a marginal overlay of ₹15,000.

Being one of the series’ six-featured tournaments, the FTS Kick-Off played down to the eight-handed final table. Leading the final eight is Young Gun Arsh ‘BigggTymeR’ Grover, who bagged the overnight chip lead with a stack of 4,066,354. The Delhi-based pro is followed by Srijan ‘TheDawnFacere’ Batra (2,704,836) and ‘Mr.Bean’ (2,614,496), who carried forward the top three stacks of the day.

Madan ‘madsysman’ Kumar (1,781,532), Sreeharsha ‘yUDdam’ Boneni (1,472,190), Harsh ‘Killingmachine’ Bhasin (902,738), and Sagar ‘strangeplay’ Choudhury (513,885) were the other notables making it to the FT. The FTS#2 Kick-Off final table commences at 6 PM today and will be live-streamed across multiple platforms, including the social media channels of PokerGuru.

The other big-ticket tourney that played out yesterday was the ₹10 Lakhs GTD FTS#3. Attracting 865 contenders, the event posted a guarantee-smashing ₹12.97 Lakhs prize pool. Akash ‘Akash0510’ Gupta came out on top, pocketing ₹1.51 Lakhs for the win. Gupta is best known for shipping Adda52’s ₹1 Crore GTD Full House Finale for ₹22 Lakhs on October 4. He currently has overall online winnings to the tune of ₹1.60 Crores.

A six-way deal took place on the final table, with Mandar ‘MAMA04’ Madaye (runner-up for ₹1.48 Lakhs), Siddharth ‘champ-ak’ Pandey (3rd for ₹1.15 Lakhs), PokerGuru Ambassador Tathagata ‘RadioActivity’ Sengupta (4th for ₹1.06 Lakhs), ‘Sid297‘ (5th for ₹1.05 Lakhs) and ‘Megamindd71’ (6th for ₹93,338) banking the other top prizes.

The series-opener ₹4 Lakhs GTD FTS #1 saw Ashish ‘UGOTBLUFF’ Pareek traverse the 774 entries in the tourney to collect the most significant share of the ₹6.19 Lakhs prize pool worth ₹82,892.


PokerStars India

PokerStars India hosted two ₹5 Lakhs GTD events yesterday. The Tuesday signature tourney, Sixth Sense, gathered 213 entrants, overlaying ₹74,000. The anonymous user ‘deep12322’ championed the event for ₹92,186, while Young Gun Anmol ‘Kaanchacheena’ Mehta came in second for ₹66,829.

The other Tuesday marquee, the Uppercut Mini, pulled in 196 entries and fared relatively better than the Sixth Sense as it escaped with a shortfall of ₹10,000. The first-ever INCOOP Main Event champion Sanish ‘sneakysani’ Chhabra emerged as the victor and took home a winner’s paycheque worth ₹1.22 Lakhs. ‘garima14’ finished runner-up for ₹46,305.

With the WPTOI now less than a week away from wrapping up, the star attraction of the series, the ₹2.5 Crores GTD WPT India Main Event, hosted its second starting flight, Day 1B, yesterday. The flight recorded 299 entries (210 unique and 89 re-entries), and only 32 runners advanced to Day 2. Mandar ‘HighCardJ’ Darade bagged the end-of-Day 1B chip lead with a stack of 383,586, while Rubin ‘kornkif’ Labroo (304,016) and bracelet winner Abhinav ‘checkshove’ Iyer (271,779) secured the second and third biggest stacks of the day, respectively. With two starting flights in the books, Darade commands the overall chip lead.

Running alongside WPT India Main Event was the second starting flight of the ₹15 Lakhs GTD WPT India Madness. A total of 46 runners progressed to Day 2 from a starting field of 257 entries. Manish ‘newkidpoker’ Lakhotia ended the day in pole position with a stack of 230,438. ‘narayanpn’ (190,842) and ‘AshMD’ (188,089) bagged the next top stacks.

Last night’s WPT Trophy event on Adda52 was the ₹25 Lakhs GTD WPT Tuesday Feature. The ₹4,400 entry buy-in tourney locked in 712 participants, generating a colossal ₹28.48 Lakhs in the prize pool. PokerGuru Ambassador and the 2019 WPT India ₹20K MegaStack champion, Madhav ‘madzoopa’ Gupta, obliterated the competition to claim his career-second WPT title, along with a ₹6.55 Lakhs payday! Gupta now has ₹1.27 Crores in online MTT earnings.

Gupta outlasted Rudramani ‘rud1478’ Pokhrel in the heads-up finale, and the latter netted ₹3.78 Lakhs for his second-place finish.

The ₹8 Lakhs GTD WPT Mini 6-Max witnessed Vishal ‘VishalMaharaj’ Maharaj trounce the 515-player pool to collect a cool ₹2.47 Lakhs in prize money. Ayush ‘lazyman’ Garg came in second for ₹1.44 Lakhs.

The daily afternoon tourney, the ₹5 Lakhs GTD WPT Classic, continues to struggle with overlays. Yesterday, the tourney logged in 292 entries to experience an overlay deficit of ₹1.01 Lakhs. Kunal ‘Kunotaguero’ Yadav battled it out with PokerGuru Ambassador Shashank ‘IndianRat’ Desai for the top honors and eventually came out on top to win the ₹1.12 Lakhs first-place cash prize. Desai walked away with a runner-up payout worth ₹91,633.

Headlining PokerBaazi’s Tuesday roster was the ₹12 Lakhs GTD The Endeavour. The ₹3,850 entry buy-in tournament had an eventful run as it clocked in 419 entries, collecting ₹14.67 Lakhs in the prize pool. Young Gun Arsh ‘Button_Hai_Bro’ Grover was on fire last night. Not only is he chip leading the FTS Kick-Off final table, but he also championed The Endeavour, taking home ₹2.94 Lakhs in cash prize. Ajoy ‘ajoy94’ Bala placed runner-up for ₹2.06 Lakhs.

Grover has held onto the #2 rank on the yearly leaderboard for 12 consecutive weeks and currently has more than ₹3.45 Crores in annual earnings. With approximately ₹5.85 Crores in overall MTT scores, Grover is within striking distance of entering the 6 Crores Club!”

Ashit ‘nexus010’ Sharma took down the ₹2.5 Lakhs GTD Tuesday Turbo for ₹75,000, after besting the first-ever Game Changer champion Prashanth ‘Iveyleague’ Sekar heads-up. Sekar received ₹52,500 for his runner-up finish.

The star attraction on Day 1 of IPC`s brand-new Final Table Series was the FTS#2 Kick-Off that sported a prize pool guarantee of ₹40 Lakhs at an entry price point of ₹5,500. The event began at 8 PM to draw 797 entries (397 unique, 146 re-entries, and 254 re-buys). This resulted in a marginal overlay of ₹15,000.

This is one of the series’ six featured tournaments where the final table will be live-streamed. Play halted once the 8-max final table was formed.

Gupta`s first-ever WPT title had come in last year’s WPT India live event in Goa, where he had won the ₹20K MegaStack for a cool ₹5.33 Lakhs.

The top 87 players earned a share of the spoils, and taking home the biggest prize after more than six hours of battle was Akash ‘Akash0510’ Gupta.

On October 4, Gupta had captured the ₹1 Crore GTD Full House Finale for ₹22 Lakhs. While that remains his best online score to date, yesterday, he struck a six-way deal on the FT to close his claim on the title and pocket the ₹1.51 Lakhs up-top.

Mandar ‘MAMA04’ Madaye finished runner-up for ₹1.48 Lakhs. Sumit ‘sumit4game’ Saurav was the only known name on the FT who placed fifth for ₹51,500.

The mystery player ‘deep12322’ navigated their way all the way to the top after almost seven hours of battle to win ₹92,186 after vanquishing Young Gun Anmol ‘Kaanchacheena’ Mehta (2nd for ₹66,829) in heads-up play.

Championing the tourney after six hours of action was the first-ever INCOOP Main Event champion Sanish ‘sneakysaniChhabra. Chhabra had on Sunday made a close run to the title in Spartan Poker’s ₹8.50 Lakhs GTD Money Heist, where he had finished runner-up for ₹1.33 Lakhs.
