Another busy Thursday went by, and for the second day in a row, tournament action at Adda52 took a back seat with the site canceling all its AOPS events on account of technical disruptions. Nonetheless, Day 1B of the ₹2 Crores GTD Game Changer 3.0 on PokerBaazi and Spartan Poker’s Thursday marquees kept the tournament junkies engaged. Without further ado, let’s have a look at the standout performers on Thursday!


Spartan Poker

The signature Thursday event on Spartan Poker, the ₹20 Lakhs GTD Ultron, clocked in 645 entries who ponied up the ₹4,400 buy-in to collect ₹25.80 Lakhs in the prize pool. Locking horns in the final showdown were online reg Rishab ‘NoChac3’ Malik and the mystery crusher

‘Tiger10’. Malik eventually triumphed to bank the up top ₹4.99 Lakhs for his second-best recorded online score while the latter finished runner-up for ₹3.14 Lakhs.

The ₹6 Lakhs GTD Monster Stack found a champion in ‘UGOTBLUFF,’ who took away ₹1.60 Lakhs in cash prize following a heads-up deal with ‘Shahri69’ (runner-up for ₹1.42 Lakhs).



The weekend ahead promises to be a big one at PokerBaazi as the site will crown a champion in the ₹2 Crores GTD Game Changer 3.0. Day 1B of the flagship tourney registered 1,033 entries. By the end, only 98 runners advanced to Day 2. Bagging the most massive stack was ‘Maahi13’ (360,000) while Sankalp ‘Wobbegong’ Marwah (338,000) and Harshad ‘omglukbox’ Barve (310,000) rounded out the top three stacks of the day. Day 1C starts at 8 PM today, with the last starting flight scheduled for Saturday.

Championing the site`s ₹5 Lakhs GTD Thursday MonsterStack was Deepak ‘DEEPAKALLIN’ Sachdeva, who banked ₹1.51 Lakhs after defeating Akshay ‘fsociety’ Dhingra (2nd for ₹1.06 Lakhs) heads-up.



Like Wednesday, all scheduled AOPS events on the site got canceled with the site rep releasing an official statement.

Unlike the other weekday flagships, PokerStars India kept the ₹15 Lakhs prize pool guarantee for the Highroller intact. Given the Adda52 issue, the site managed to bring in 227 entries, generating a profitable ₹15.89 Lakhs prize pool. Racing past the competition was MTT crusher

The Battle Royale Mini, on the other hand, found a crowd of 216 entries to accumulate a healthy ₹5.40 Lakhs prize pool, and the top 34 places crossed the money line. Taking down the title was online reg Vishal ‘DeadGrinder1’ Madan, who won this tourney for the second time in less than a month. He defeated Abhijeet ‘sexylady7766’ Kumar (runner-up for ₹44,679) heads-up to collect ₹1.15 Lakhs in prize money!

Day 1B of the Game Changer 3.0 ₹2 Crores GTD Day 1B registered 1,033 runners, and out of that, 98 made it to Day 2. Anonymous user ‘Maahi13’ came out leading with a stack of 360,000 while, Sankalp ‘Wobbegong’ Marwah (338,000) and Harshad ‘omglukbox’ Barve (310,000) held the second and third positions.

Counting the 114 survivors from Day 1A, 212 players have confirmed a berth for Day 2 so far, with two starting flights yet to play out.

Spartan Poker’s Thursday flagship Ultron ran with a ₹20 Lakhs prize pool guarantee last night. The event attracted 645 entries to collect a ₹25.80 Lakhs prize pool.

Traversing the reg-infested field to eventually clinch the title was Rishab ‘NoChanc3’ Malik. In April, Malik had finished fifth in PokerBaazi’s ₹5 Crores GTD End Boss for ₹19.35 Lakhs. While that remains his career-best online score as yet, he pocketed his second-best score, a hefty ₹4.99 Lakhs payday after defeating ‘Tiger10’ heads-up in the Ultron.

The latter added ₹3.14 Lakhs to his bankroll for finishing second.

Naren ‘IMUNAGI’ Purohit (6th for ₹1.10 Lakhs) and Rajat ‘BloatedBelly’ Mahajan (9th for ₹46,956) were the other FT finishers.

The ₹7,700 buy-in Highroller brought an end to what looked like a non-stop stream of overlays at PokerStars India. The Thursday tourney managed to go ₹89,000 over its ₹15 Lakhs GTD on the back of 227 entries.

MTT crusher Sriharsha ‘1ll|1ll1|ll1|’ Doddapaneni has been on a roll lately. After finishing runner-up in Spartan Poker’s The Millionaire ₹1 Crore GTD for ₹14.97 Lakhs on Sunday, Doddapaneni added yet another handsome score of ₹3.06 Lakhs to his bankroll by taking down the Highroller yesterday. Doddapaneni is presently ranked #3 on the weekly leaderboard with ₹19.20 Lakhs in winnings.

The heads-up for the title took place between the 2020 India Poker Champion Rubin ‘kornkid4’ Labroo and Doddapaneni. The latter claimed the title, while Labroo took home ₹2.26 Lakhs for his runner-up finish.
